I know one thing for sure... If they did make that kit it wouldn't be street legal or suitable for normal driving conditions unless you had an air ride or hydraulic suspension. Too damn low! The front bumper & sideskirts look to be only about 2-3 inches off the ground. And if you had an adjustable suspension like one of those, your car would have a sickeningly huge ugly gap between the wheels and the fenders when driving at "street" height. It'd really only look it's best when parked and dropped to it's lowest possible setting.

I dunno about that. They had to have started with a regular 'ol road Z, but they just modified it so much that it's barely using any original parts.

There's plenty of information on Porsche's cars as well.

The only thing you said that I didn't understand was...
400hp is courtesy a $100,000 crated engine developed in part HKS and NISMO.

Yes and no. I don't know what the package costs from the factory, however, if your buying new it would come complete with engine and all. Most teams would purchase a second engine if you where mounting a serious attempt at a championship, usualy three. I beleive they usualy have some policies regarding rebuilds and availability.
Teams will eventualy sell rolling chassis (no engine) but I don't know if they would sell it from the factory that way. Wouldn't want you sticking a mustang engine in there or anything
I would imagine if they sold the chassis from the factory by itself it would be well over $100,000. It wouldn't pass hwy safety if that's what your thinking. Bumpers are not to spec, lighting, no airbags and many other reasons, even though in a 100mph accident I would rather be in the GT.
