Very nice pick up! I had contemplated trading in my Evo for an ISF, it has so much more creature comforts. I feel like I'm driving a cheap car right now even though it wasn't.

Are you sure about these numbers? If so, then I'm sold on the ISF!

i'm just reading what lexus wrote, lol

I wish the Z could do that...

Hows the extra power feel?
dont have bolt on yet, soon though. but i honestly feel invincible if we are talking about light to light racing. it has top end power too, pulls very strong. supposedly it can hit 200mph without the speed limiter.

lol, yes i am. i was shocked. lexus made the exhaust system so restrictive on this car so the exhaust note can be quiet since it is a luxury car. it has 4 total cats total on the car. huge gains for sure. even simple intake yields big gains. 400whp club is so easy and cost less than 2500 and even less if you are buying used parts off the forum. no tuning, nothing, and you dont lose throttle response like modding other cars. can low 12's with bolt ons and 11's with same bolt ons but drag radials. pretty damn good if you think about it. and there are no engine or tranny problems really reported. and the guy that had a tranny problem had over 100k miles and out of warranty and lexus headquarters still gave him a new tranny because they said this car should last at least 250k miles.

http://m.clublexus.com/forums/showthread.php?p=7492142

here is a video that sounds just like mine when taking off. the second intake sound that comes from the driver wheel well sounds like a big rush of air coming in after hitting 3.5k rpm and more. sounds like a jet or something.

Leave it stock for a while, enjoy it while you can. Take out a few girls and watch them drool in your car. Then go with suspension first and maybe wheels (i like the stock wheels).

then go with full exhaust system.

remember back when we use to say most people who aren't into cars can't distinguish a regular is350 and the isf, its kind of true. lol. girls just look at the L logo. I ordered full coils already, picked the BC over the kw because of ride quality. but for now, just lowered with spacers. and maybe paint the calipers to make them pop.

yeah, its' weird, all of these videos can't really capture the actual sound. you have to hear it in person. sounds really different.

thanks larry. I got it out of the door for 44k with a super low finance rate. if i sold my Z in time, i would of been approved for a 2009 gtr that they had on the lot as well. That's what im actually saving for next. a lot of Isf owners move to the gtr as well.

It is true. The only reason you get the IS-F is for self satisfaction, knowing you have the top of the line IS. So you'll never feel like **** pulling up next to a higher model car. That's why I bought an e46 m3, and not a newer 335 like you suggested Then again, i've wanted an e46 m3 since back when all i cared about was performance

And keep the car as oem as possible. Don't even touch the brakes, unless the paint are chipped. You'll regret it down the road

id still get an e92 335 over an e46 m3. the torque alone is addicting.

at any rate congrats on the new ride.. IS's are probably one of my favorite looking sedans and the IS is just cherry on the cake.

we have two ISF's in our group and they are a joy to see and hear.

Great car and love the color! I had a friend paint his Track Evo this color and he had one of these for his DD with the I/H/E as well. Very nice sound and made me really want one, if it was more in my price rang that is.. Still have fun with it and they are great!

Thanks,
Dallin.

thanks. exterior wise, i also do think it looks best in person. interior road noise was probably the most important thing and this is the quietest car of all three.
I find that very hard to believe. Lexus claims 24mpg HWY, and they don't usually underestimate. Maybe you accidently got the is250?

manufacture is not accurate because they calculate differently. well here you go. car is pretty high tech

sorry for the long wait, ive been busy with work and stuff. i hardly get to drive the car since i got it but got a few goodies in the mean time

few things that already arrived. these lights really hit the wallet hard. could of bought another used vortech kit for the Z. but well worth it IMO

i already dropped the car all around, waiting for joe-z intake, PPE headers and exhaust, lexus ISF black pearl emblem kit, and rear diffuser to arrive. i know spacers are coming already, i just need to roll the fenders.
