Akebono. Impressive quality/ good looking, strong system; best for the $ and the weight issue isn't a big deal for the money. Brembos are great system, but are way over priced; pay a ton for the name. My car would be about $3,500+ just for the front Brembo, got the all 4 Akebono system, ss lines, 40th anniversary red ($220 extra) calipers, motul fluid, drilled/slotted 14" rotors, centric pads for about $2,100. I'm very impressed with this setup; not kocking Brembo at all because they are made for performance at the track, but once again very expensive and Akebono is becoming popular and for good reason. If you track your Z go Brembo, but for an awesome street system it's clear cut unless you have money to burn. *go to czp and get the setup I got; pm me for any questions.

Very tough call. I would lean toward the Brembos if you can get a lightly used set without too many chips in the caliper paint for a reasonable price. Otherwise go with a brand new Akebono setup.....not sure if I like the red, though.

welcome to the 3.7 diff club.. best upgrade you can do.

for the Brembo you will need the stud that hold the caliper with the thing behind the disc (i think).

Nope. Just got everything done that I could. Tomorrow i will hopefully be getting the bolts i need and then bleeding the system.. then i'll be done. Then just need to change rear end fluid and i'm good to go.

Good detail to know for future people looking at the same wheel/brake swap.
