It was fun guys, nice to meet every one I did! A HUGE thanks to t32gzz who took me for a ride in his 625hp MONSTER! Never felt a car pull like that.

It was great to meet everyone and see some old friends again. I didn't get a 350Z count, I'm guessing 30 or more! Thanks to MicsZ for all the work to make this happen. Thanks to the Bankston Nissan crew for the food and letting us do this. Congrats to all the winners and everyone who made this a very nice Z fest. Pics in a few.

Just walked in the door. Hell yeah! For once one of my investments pays off big! Hey don't forget I took 3rd in modified and got the distance award . Considering this was my first car show entry. I really did not even think about winning a trophy. I think that's cool since most of my mods are hidden. Good thing I had to wait on installing the cams. If I was in Super Modified, I might not have been so lucky.

Sorry I was not more social with everyone. It's tough when your wife is pregnant, hot, and is being ate by fire ants. Thanks for an awesome event. I will post the pics I took as well.

Rick

My woman was going to come, but then I re-thought that b/c I would have only been there for 15 mins!

As promised, here are the pics. If i need to resize them let me know. On my monitor everybody's pics fit. If I didn't get a picture of your car, I'm sorry. Having sweat running down your face and getting in the view finder does not make a photographer happy. Enjoy!

That would be "Best of Show" I agree the car is very pretty. But that car is only a show car. Honestly a waste of a ST and N02 I met the owner back in Jan at the Raging Bull Texas Stampede. Which he only drove day 1 and left before his car got wet. Dont' think he's on any of the boards though.

It was a good time. Next time I'll have to remember to bring chairs, cooler, canopy. I would have taken a lot more pics had it not been 106.I needed to stay in the shade. I drank 2 gallons of water during the event and was still dehydrated by the time we got back to Abilene.

In spite of what has been posted; the owners name is Warren and the car is a TWO time ZCON winner........ he is president of Z Club of Texas --- matter of fact it's going to Hallett Sept 17th and has been on several tracks in the country for different track days

There were several cars there that deserve the utmost respect; a two time ZCON winner, this years BEST IN SHOW at ZCON, a 680+ HP version and other up and comers --- a lot of "beef" for a dealer show .......

Yes, you're right sorry for the confusion. There was another guy hanging out with Warren whos' name is Mike. Yes, there were many beautiful cars and some owners as well who deserve the utmost respect.

If Warren's Z has been driven hard on roadcourses with other cars at the same time, I'll need video with data logging. Did you take note that the intercooler has not a single ding nor any bugs for that matter. The paint is immaculate and you can eat off the engine. Also, why would a track car have an X-box, computer keyboard. Subwoofers and whatever other gizmos are in there. That won't get past tech inspection. Yes, all that stuff can be removed, but why would a true driver have that stuff in car anyway? Sorry for the hi-jack back on topic.

LOL....the whole point is that everyone's Z was looking good, from stock to super modified....a big congrats to the winners on every award!!! Now the issue on the brickyard, if I'm not mistaken I see a few dings here and there...some on the intercooler and some on the carbon fiber lip.....if the guy races it, great. If not, it's still a beautiful car!!! I raced my 2004 STI a lot, on tracks, on street courses, etc....My front mount really didn't take a lot of beating from the tracks...It took the most beating from a damn truck hauling rocks on the freeway!!! I'll admit my intercooler and front bumper looked a little more beat up then his did, but whos judging....lol.....

PS....I POSTED ABOUT 50+ PICS OF THE Z-FEST!!!! LOOK FOR THE NEW THREAD!!!! ENJOY!!!!!

You're right there are a few flaws, but still a beautiful car and highly deserving of the received awards.

Back in Jan at RBTS, we had a meet Fri in the hotel parking lot. Well around 2300 the rain started coming down, and guess who left without even saying goodbye. I was anxious to see that car ride the bull. I stayed and drove all three days and I know what my front end received during the event. When I spoke with Warren yesterday about what happend. He said "I drove the first day". LOL Not that he nor his friend Mike recognized us both of whom where at RBTS. End of rant.

It was nice to see everyone's car in person. Looks like you guys spent a lot of dinero on your rides.

Sorry I had to take off a little early. It was hot like a mf'er. Gotta love TX.

Do you own one of the SBs that was parked on the side road? I remember seeing one of them take off yesterday. As for the heat, I only love TX in the winter so does my Z.

I was in the car show for a little while. I had the CS with the US Nismo body kit (lip, sides, and rear) and the JDM Version 2 Wing (probably my most expensive mod to date) with the carbon fiber insert. I was sweating like crazy, actually went into the dealership a couple times and had my buddy from college with me.
