I have always had issues with this exhaust. First it was hitting the driveshaft, then to make it work, we pushed it over to one side. This of course made it hit another part under the car. I took it to a muffler shop and had them try to fix it, but the flanges made the moving limited. Then, after the clutch install, the damn exhaust hits again. I am just fed up with the POS. I tried to contact the company about it and their response was, "ours doesn't have those issues." Guess since they have no problems, it means I shouldn't have them. Great customer service by the way. Never again will I recommend or buy something from them!

When I beat the crap out of the piping, it will be fixed. I got under the car today, the driver's side piping is hitting the rear brace on the car. The exhaust goes over the brace and I could move the pipe enough for it to bounce off of the brace. We already put washers between the brace and the car for more clearance, but doesn't seem to be working. I think I may have it done it time.

If all else fails, get a bigger hammer!

Have you ever thought of fabricating a small rubber bushing made of high temp resistant rubber, and placing it between the brace and the exhaust pipe?

Yes, I thought about that. I'm going to first try to readjust it and see if I can get it to clear. Wish me luck. I may go out to the shop here at work and see what we use on our units.

The problem is, even though the exhaust may clear the brace, if the gap is only an inch or so the pipe will still collide everytime you hit a bump on the road. The rubber stopper will create a buffer.

George,

Don't know if this will help or not, but I did this to mine (pic )to prevent any contact/rattle with this certain area and it works like a charm. Kinda ghetto but it's underneathe the car, so who cares.

Thanks Tom, but that's not the spot that is hitting. That's probably the only spot that is not hitting. I did something similar to the section that is hitting the worst. Cross your fingers and hope it works.

Bring it out! All of the cars that are modified were stock once. I am sure there will be other stock cars there as well.
