I think the Austin Z Club is planning a caravan. You could hook up with them. Visit their forum www.czot.org

Pre Registration (pre reg discount) is officially over for this event. Now/until/Day of registration is $35. However, if you wish to still register before the show you are welcome to do so.

Great newz: We have 40 carz pre registered into the show as of 4/1/07! We will still have a few more pre reg's trickle in over the next few days via snail mail. If you mailed your pre reg in and it's post marked no later than 4/1/07 we will honor it. Thank you to all who took the time to pre reg for this event. We look forward to having all of you at the show.
The big question now is how many carz will we have at the show total?

No. We won't be counting the mileage on Daily Driver for the 350's & G35's (within reason. Don't drive up w/ a brand new car).
You'll be ok.

I daily drive my car, but I have a bodykit. Can I still enter into daily driver class or stay in modified?

You can enter in DD (Daily Driver) if you want. But real men step up to modified or stock (joke)
Here's the difference- In DD the engine bay does not get judged. In modified or stock the engine bay does get judged. Hence Mod & Stock are harder cats. Also, since DD class does not get engine bay judged those vehicles are not eligible for Best of Show Award. If your Z is clean inside and out, including engine bay then I'd stay in Mod class.

I'll stay in modified. BTW this is my first car show, how should I prepare. Do I need a printout of my modifications, pictures, have my wife in a thong?

any advice?

Your wife in a thong.... hmmmmmm. LOL
Here's the deal on the judging- It's not about what you have on the car (mods). It's about how clean your car is. All the mods are cool but what counts is the presentation. Being clean. Everybody loves a modified Z Car but a clean modified Z Car rules the pack. The judging sheets are set up in 3 sections: Interior, Exterior, Engine (except DD). Each of these three sections has a list of items that cover that area top to bottom.
You can do a printout of your mods along with pics, etc.... That is great to have for spectators and can be useful for the judges to look at. Typically attendees will arrive 2-3 hours before the judging starts so that they can go over their carz again in detail.
BTW- Judging starts at 11am. You can arrive anytime between 8am-11am.
Hope this helps.

Looks like the weather will cooperate for next weekend's car show. Here is a map for the cruise on Sunday:

Hill Country Cruise on Sunday:
Cruise will start at 9:30 from SA and end in Kerrville, TX. Cruise will take approximately 1hr and 30 minutes. We will have lunch in Kerrville at Chili's and then people can either head back to SA or take Hwy 16 into Fredericksburg and then 290 into Austin where they can then take IH35 North to Dallas/Ft. Worth.

I'm considering coming to this with some friends, but have a general question on class placing.

I have an 2006 with 18,000 miles on it but have bucoo modifications. I'm not talking body kit or aspiration, just a lot of look enhancing mods like stereo, lighting, engine presentation upgrades etc..

What category should I enter. Modified or Stock??

You can check my Blog below and let me know.

Thanks.

You need to enter the Modified Class. You have too many mods for stock. The weather forecast for next weekend is for sunny skies and a beautiful weekend for a Z Car Show. Hope to see that nice Z of yours out there!

Default Urgent: Need a Roomie for one Night

OK Guys,

I booked a room with two Queen size beds at the Drury. I am going
down with two other couples so if you want to tag along and caravan
your welcome. We are going Friday night around 6pm and coming
back to Dallas Saturday evening.

I need one person to share the room with and split the cost.

So 1/2 of $100 plus taxes. This the ZSport Rate.

Let me know Soon.
