I'm surprised you even got triple that with 8gigs, shooting in manual at least. Geezus what a headache to eff'n edit!

I don't think having a manual or digital matters. It's the dimension of the pic (mostly) that determines the size of image files (read: megapixel).

It could be alot of editing and re-touching of images that takes forever.
