My bad. I forgot to edit the first post of the thread. This meet wasn't exactly planned. I just noticed a lot of Z/Gs around McKinney (we have a greater number here than any other DFW city, I think), so I figured a mini-meet for the local members wouldn't be a bad idea. I think I talked about this with the high school students in 2 threads, but I don't know where they are now.

****! I am right down the street, and it sounds like I have a misfire.. Cars not running on all cylinders... luckily my sparkplugs that i ordered came in on thu... anyone wanna come by and help me with my spark plugs? I wont be able to make the meet in the g...

 

isnt the car supposed to throw a code during a misfire? I dont have any light on... i'm worried now.

dammit! i literally live 5 mins away, i was so helpless i cant drive my car. i drove it last night and it was perfect! how many showed up? can we do it again soon? i'll get the car fixed tomorrow. i hope it's just the spark plugs, but it's not throwing any codes. hope it's not the injectors or anything.

spark plugs are easy, but the vortech stuff is in someof the way... and i'm a little hungover from last night to be outdoors so i'm gonna do it tomrorow.

No codes? And what really happend man? You should see code if u getting a misfire. Update for us and if u need help hit me up man.

 

I think we had 11 different Z/Gs show up, but only 8 of us stayed through the actual meet/lunch. A pretty damn good turnout for something that was originally planned for the McKinney locals.

We can definitely have more of these. You can set one up for us this time. Make sure you check the schedule of other meets so it doesn't conflict with their dates/times.

Scotty P's is good. If you have one again and I don't wake up at 12 and need to clean the FX I will probably show up. I clayed off so many dead bug particles today.

 

chefj, i dunno what happened man. i drove the car all week, even last night at 730 i got home, and it was perfect. i got in it to turn it on this morning, and it's def not running on all cylinders. i made a thread for it in the tech discussion part, but i'm just hoping it's an easyfix done by replacing the spark plugs which i will do tomorrow. its just hard cause of all the stuff in the way..

i will help orgazine another meet soon, prob in late june, early july.

haha if we had it in grapevine, it wouldnt have been a local mckinney meet! why dont we have one in grapevine in the next few weeks?

 

I could not get off in time, My job is off of 380. Hurried over their as soon as I got off(around 5) and only found a honda civic with altezza lights........gonna take a wild guess and assume I missed it.

 

We have meets at Grapevine all the time now and have been for the past year or two. I miss the days when we had Plano meets. Today was the first McKinney meet ever.

Yeah, we all left around 4:15ish.

 

It was a good meet and everyone was cool as he11 of course....must be a McKinney thing
