Yeah it's a mod I wanted to do and so I'd want it before the tune. Also need to add an exhaust hanger since I think it's leaking at the y to mid pipe connection, and I assume that needs to be fixed before a tune.

 

Was this on the same dyno on the same day around the same time? If not, then that comparison is null.

Also, why would anybody tune with the Cobb AP when there are so many different and better options out there?
Technically, if the leak is after the 2nd set of O2 sensors, it shouldn't matter as the reading was already measured. Still, it couldn't hurt to do it beforehand.

 

This was exactly what I was thinking. Maybe the exhaust isn't working 100%, but the tune should be fine either way. It's at the end of the y-pipe. Dikspiel told me otherwise though.

 

One question about this from a monetary standpoint. So we are saving $150 on tune $450 vs. $300, but we are paying $300 extra for license. I assume this extra $150 is just so we can get Steve to tune us as opposed to just any Osiris tuner?

 

No, licence is 300 pretty much every where that does uprev tuned

 

But didn't you say we are essentially buying his license, as opposed to him buying it, and that is why we get the discount on the tune?

 

We are buying licences through him which secures our tunes which means he won't have to front the whole bill for the uprev tuning suite which is not cheap. He set the minimum he would need to make this worth it for him.

 

Ok so either way we have to pay, it's not like we are basically buying the ability for him to tune and paying him to do it. All these license and various levels of Osiris always make my head spin.

And once we have a license, we can just buy a cable to do the datalogging and such?

Ok cool, now I like the having to buy a license idea more. One day I hope have the cable. I even dream of running a netbook in the vehicle to change tunes on the fly, but maybe that isn't possible.

you do know with Uprev Osiris you can get up to 5 maps and you change between them on the steering wheel...

 

Yeah, but having a computer makes me feel more like F&F haha. But serious, I just like the idea of the computer more, although I've never seen what changing maps with the cruise control vehicles looks like.

 

It doesn't look fancy or anything, you just hold the set switch and press cancel button the number of times to match the map you want.. ex: 2 presses = map 2
