neither, it's more like another ecu works in parallel with you oe ecu to gain more control of you mapping also loges in boost too so the ecu gains more control over the modds that you put into you car. The replacement MAF is basically done cuz the Z stock MAF can't handle air pressure more than 5 psi. the switch is for navigating thru maps "0-9" I guess 1-7 is tunable 0 for stock 8 for valet parking and 9 to lock up your ecu so the car wouldn't even start up.

I shares the basic stuff that UPREV has, any way I check couple of places that would install it and tune it for ~350$ not too bad.

 

Thanks for the detailed response. I am in the market for something like that, but I just bought some rims, so my budget is maxxed out until my next pay period. If you still have it by then, I'll most likely get it from you, because I like the fact that I'd have a secondary MAF that can handle more air. I would assume that this MAF is a good set up for those with CAI or even Ram air. So, this must be the reason engine idles weird after having an aftermarket intake on it. The stock MAF probably can't keep up with the huge amount of air it's sucking in. Anyways, if you sell it before I can buy it, so be it. I'll check back in with you in about two weeks.
