Self serve car washes in NoVa?
Anyone know of any self serve car washes that will be open during the winter in the Burke/Springfield area preferably? Thanks!

I wouldn't do it right now...The water will turn to ice before it hits the car!!! ... The only one I know of even remotely close to you is down by Fort Belvoir near Rte1 and Backlick Road. Use to see people washing their cars there when I was stationed Belvoir....Don't know of any in Springfield though....Sorry.

it wont look too bad with ur SS. but i had mine done at champion car wash last time i was here (xgiving) cause my hose is off. oh yea, thats in mcclean
MAN! did they add a million swirls! it's disgusting. so for spring weak i'll have a one week project of tryin to make my car look decent again.
never doing that again...i'll just keep my car dirty until it's semi warm and i can use my friend's hose (they leave theirs on all winter)

Yes, true. I guess thats a disadvantage to black -- everything shows. But it's by far one of the sexiest colors for any car
I guess I'll stick with brushless (gas station) washes for now since Embassy uses brushes. I know there's a worry about reused water... but I suppose rincing my car off with reused water to get salt/snow off of it and to preserve the wax coat on it (till spring when I'll reapply) is better than letting the salt eat away at my wax.

There's a place in Fairfax, near Circle towers (Route 29 and Blake Lane) near the IHOP and Fairfax Circle, I remember washing my friends old 98 Accord 2 door coupe back when they came out at the place. It's some mom/pop place, you insert like a few bucks ($5-10??) and it give's you an amount of time to wash/rinse dry etc. Forgot what its called though....but its literally across the street from IHOP in fairfax

embassy is nice, I lowered my car about an inch and it still cleared for washing. i also have volk gt-cs and the car wash did not harm them at all. I have never seen my rims soo nice looking. I recommend them although a bit pricey.
