For anyone in the tidewater area (or anyone who wants to drive in) -- the TZCC is getting together at the Munden Point Park (southernmost park in VA Beach before you hit NC) for cookout / games / pictures / etc... Kicks of at 1pm-ish (addy for park for you mapquester/dvdnav types is 2001 pefley lane, va beach, va)

There will be a caravan from Mt. Trashmore @ 11:45 or so (again lazy bums: 300 edwin drive, va beach, va).

If you didn't sign up ahead of time, just bring a dish of your choice (nothing too crazy is necessary, i was looking at my 7-11 donut box, hahaha... j/k) -- just relaxing in the (hopefully) sun.

Oh yeah, and in case you haven't seen the flyers everywhere, get your butts registered for the car show @ pomoco nissan on the 14th of May (open to all Z's, roadsters, and 69-73 510's)... the club website is www.tzccva.org, but it's pretty skeletonized right now

Yea theres not too many of us on here, mainly NoVA members. Did anyone take pics and how was the turnout? It was a beautiful Sunday and perfect temp in my opinion.

 

yea, i saw nick (machupo's name is nick too) taking some pics, there weren't a lot of z there, but a lot of people - some people took other cars there as they were busy with other things before the meet...

also, fyi, there is a tidewater z club... they have a website, i have the form on my desk at work (its been sitting there for a while - to lazy to fill it out)... for those in the area who havent been to a meet yet, today was my first day, it was good people who love z's and like to drive em... come on out next time...

I live in Sawyers Lakes, it's between Red Mill and South Shores, just south of Dam Neck. Where are you guys at?

 

I'm near Haygood/Independence Blvd. We should have a Hampton Roads gathering soon while the weather is nice.

Is the Tidewater club a dues paying club with membership etc?

I drive right by Haygood and Indy on my way to Little Creek every day where I work.

yea the club has a yearly due (its like 40 bucks, thats 3.33 a month ) ... and after the first visit, i'd say its worth it - good people and they are really a part of the racing community (autoX and track?road). with the membership i think you get a free subscription to Z magazine.

i love to just drive around, so if any of you just feel like getting a couple z's together for a joy ride... pm me or post on this thread...

 

I wouldn't mind doing that sometime. I like to drive down Princess Anne (there are like three of them, lol) to Knotts Island, NC and stop at this little convenience store for a coke. Lots of bugs to make you have to claybar your car though. I did PM you.

 

i know exactly where you're talking about - my prelude club used to go down there all the time and i've been down there twice with the z so far.... in fact thats where the picnic this thread refers to was... the bugs are pretty crazy out there... just be careful, past fews times out there i've seen a lot of vbpd.

 

Yeah there's a police sub-station over by Creeds Elementary and they don't seem to like to travel far from the office to set up speed traps.

 

yea know what you mean, its always hot around there... a buddy if mine from currituck county told me that its pretty commonly understood that there are not NC cops right at the state line - plus i've always found it safe in that wildlife refuge area....
