So I'm doing that cross country race thing again next month - The AKA Rally http://www.akarally.com

The first leg is coming straight through maryland and VA and most likely down I-95/495.

Already a few bikes want to join up with us and drive part of the rally with us. Would any of you be interested in doing the same? A few exotics signed up for the rally and you would be driving with approx. 70 cars. I could call ahead and tell you guys where we were and you could just hop in line on the highway. It's all going to be filmed and shown on..ahem I can't say which station. But how cool would it be if a gang of Zs and Gs showed up. Specially if you help block other cars for me

Also there is a pre-party in Philly if anyone wanted to join us for that and then just drive back, from the start line, to MD/VA with us the following day.
Anyone game?

anyway, we will be leaving Philly on the morning of the 25th. I believe around 9am. That should put us in DC around 10:30 - 11-ish. Lots of time left to get ready for HIN.

 

Lici keep me in the loop, I may be at a rugby tourney in west virginia but if not I'll roll up to philly the night before and give it a ride. Provided that the traffic isn't like the last time we came back from philly and someone isn't waiting in the driveway for me again b/c the wiffle ball bat of justice was lost in the wreck.

ok, so I got my days mixed up. We'll be driving through MD/VA on that Saturday the 25th of June. Not on Friday. I'm still not positive wnat time we'll actually be passing through but I can call when we leave philly so you guys have abetter estimate. That is if anyone is still interested in going. I'm sure it will be a fun drive even if you only hook up with us for an hour or so.

Also, I know someone trying to sell his entire spot for cheap if anyone wants to do the entire trip.

Sorry....not very moderator-ish, but I couldn't resist.

I think Juan's point is that there isn't really time to go out and get the car all bug splattered, then get it home and cleaned up (every little nook and cranny) in time for the 5:00 load in at HIN. I can't seem to get my car detailed in less than about 4 to 6 hours.

Maybe some stock Z's that arent going to be inside @ HIN will "stop traffic for ya"

Anyways I dont even watch MTV and I hate Florida I grew up there ..
