Default The crap I get myself into...

So I have a stock Z. No secret. I just signed up for the SEMA International Auto Salon in Atlantic City for NEXT FRIDAY. (whopping $75 registration fee)

You're not even allowed to show with stock exhaust and rims.

I have 7 days to get my car together and no money. lol
I should have had exhaust put on last week but plans got reaaranged. Supposedly Falken shipped my rims yeterday but I don't know if I believe that. Even if the rims DO get here in time, I don't have tires. I'm supposed to be getting kevlar race seats too, but they are still getting the brackets made so I doubt they will get here in time. And oh yeah, my side skirt is still f-ed up.

I'm showing because I trying to land more sponsors. So far most of the sponsors we've been able to sign we for the BWM or I didn't want it on my car (lambo doors *gasp*).
This is going to be an interesting week.

i didnt think you'd have much trouble with sponsors being one of the mtv girls and whatnot. ps the lambo doors arent that bad....i hardly use mine though. usually only for shows.

you WOULD think sponsors would be all over us huh? they arein the begining all very enthusiastic. Problem comes when it comes time to delliver product. Then it's an uphill battle.

Aby, you do know that if I don't get that exhaust in time I'm might have to cast some evil voodoo spell or something on you right?

I was in K&N's booth last year for the first IAS. I started securing my sponsors/ making arangments/ preping the car months in advance. There are gonna be some serious cars there.. even the ones not in booths. I would definatly still go if I were you, and bring portfolios with mug shots of your car, and pre printed proposals showing all of the media coverage/ events that your Z will be in. If a company is going to sponsor you, there expecting as much media exposure as possible in return for thier products / services. Sell yourself and your Z to each booth there. Good luck and have a good time

Unfortunatly .. my job had me working between 60 to 80 hours a week from Nov. thru April .. so I did not have any time to keep in allot of touch with all of my sponsors. The ones I did speak with were looking for RX-8's for IAS.

It all good there is allways next year

I guess I missed this, but what MTV show were you in?

Good luck getting everything prepped for the show! I would go to if my car wasn't in pieces getting the APS TT installed in my garage

cause they Kelly got tires. Apparently unless you're one of their premium race teams there will only do one or the other per sponsorship. SInce we were getting two sets anyway I' didn't argue
I'm buying their tires anyway. I've had the best experience with them so far. NOt to stiff, not too soft - no bubbling.

Coolio well.. if you get out there tomorrow you can usually get tires to a shop in a few days (at extra expense infortunatly) And get them on your car
