Default Where to get an alignment for a lowered car?

Well I went over to Browns Sterling Nissan to get an alignment because I put my new Volks and Tein S-Tech springs on. After an hour of waiting they told me they couldn't get my car on the rack because it was two low. They didn't even attempt it, but maybe I should be thankful for that. At least they didn't try and tear something up in the process. Anyways they told me to go over to Ferrari because they are used to working on really low cars. The service writer came down and told me $210.00! I kind of expected something along the lines of that price, but is there somewhere else around here that can accomidate without the super high price? Thanks for any help.

I know that a Kcobean takes his to the Ferrari dealership. It is expensive, but I'm sure it's done correctly. It seems as though they have given him great service, but he'd be able to tell you better than I. I think you're probably more east than south, but I took mine to a place in woodbridge and paid 150. If you're interested I can look it up.

Which service writer? ... Ask for Will. Let him know that your a friend of mine (Mike with the silver Z) and Kelly's (with the red Z).

$210 is too much .. I dont recall what he has charged me for all of my alignments .. but I know that my Z was the first 350 on thier racks ever.. and it was on there for about 4 hours ... till they were able to download the spec's onto their machine. I'm pretty sure it was around $100

Yeah Will wasn't in but the other service writer supposedly talked to Will and he told me $210. I'll call them tomorrow and ask for Will and see if I can get a deal. I actually know a couple people that work there so maybe that will help.

By the way, while I was waiting for service and the Nissan dealer I saw two Volk GT-7s in gunmetal that were majorly bent to s**t. The service writer said the guy has a twin turbo kit and he just lost control of it. Is it one of you guys?

There has been more than one occasion that I've had conversations with the Sterling Nissan folks and they have mentioned heavily modified cars that do not belong to members here in our group. It's kinda wierd. I guess it goes to show that a) the community is bigger than we think it is, and b) we've got some 'marketing' to do to bring these folks into the fold.

This black Z might be the same one that was in getting a new Nismo clutch installed in his car several months ago. Not sure though.

As for Ferrari, yes, $210 sounds a tad high. Hopefully Will can hook you up. These guys are really super nice, but don't abuse them. They are working on our cars as a courtesy to fellow car enthusiasts.
