Default Feeler: Assembled Shortblock

Just a feeler... i'm going to be building my forged engine in the next month or so and am just throwing a line out to see if anyone wants my stock shortblock. This saves you from having to source tons of stock parts from overseas (and spend $3k).

Engine has 18k miles on it and has be lightly used and very well maintained (Amsoil replaced every 3k).

$2k + shipping / obo? FWIW, shipping can be a couple hundred bux via freight, or it can be as cheap as the gas for your pickup / SUV

thanks,
-nick

lol Juan, yeah, you figure the tax board would be after me -- just like when i was swapping out computer components every month to make sure i had the top of the line stuff, i like to work on the car and I don't see a point in having anything laying around

(lol, and i think the military movers would freak if i had an engine sitting around in oct when i move )

Ok, the build is a "Go"...

Will be completed mid august.

I'm buying a completely new crate short block, so i'll have my old short block assembled with an extra set of brand new pistons and rods...

The work is being done by Forged Internals / CP Racing down in Charlotte, NC, if you want to use that for shipping calculations

$2k + shipping / obo.

EDIT: that's my old shortblock assembled (COMMA) and the extra sets of pistons and rods on the side, just for clarification

Plans:

Built block w/ a bit of head porting / big nasty cams and Greddy TT
Looking for a safe, daily-drivable 525rwhp-550ish... (no race setting... i want this thing bulletproof)

List of costs / guestimates:
Rods, Pistons, Bolts - $2300
ATS Twin-Carbon clutch - $1900
Crate Shortblock - $3000
Tomei 268 cams, springs - $1700
Greddy TT - $no idea
AAM Fuel System - $1000
Labor - $Guessing about 2-3K?

Total: If the Greddy runs about $4k, then about $17k

I'm just doing everything but the turbos right now (for $13k), and once my checking account recovers, i will do the turbos

thats got me thinking if HKS covers my busted SC I was planing on adding cams anyway so I might as well do forged internails. so later I can add just about anything and feel save. plus this could put me close to 400whp on that
hks kit.
