Default Paintjob bringing me down

I don't know what to do, I feel I should just take it back and make them repaint it. It is a good paint job I guess for a $1000, but I would have paid more if he had done better. He did show me at least the things that where messed up on it and said they can be fixed but I was wondering if he would probably charge me more now and I just don't have the time to put her under the knife again right now. There are acouple bumps on the back bumper and a crease on the front bumper where it is poly and is realy flexible and most of sat in a certain postion that made it leave that line. My car still looks hot and I love the way it looks on my car, but looks like no shows for me now. Anybody else having trouble with paint problems. Any quick fixes someone can offer me? thanks

I took it to a place called Knox Automotive. I have seen some of there work and it was awesome, they said it was hard to paint my kit because of all the defects in the fiberglass. I think they were just to busy and did not pay enough attention to my car and worked harder on this old school mustang in there and a old school ferrari they have. All they need to do was sand down the back bumper alittle better and make sure all the voids where fixed.

You should take it to Alain. He'll hook you up...

Professional Auto Body
628 S. Pickett St.
Alexandria, VA 22304
703-751-4224 Alain

Fiberglass takes time to work with, and it's nice to have a shop that knows what they're doing with it. Many shops these days are "urethane or sheet metal only" shops since that covers 99.999999% of all OEM body work. If you don't surface prep it right, it will blister in the oven, etc.

Alain has techs w/ fiberglass skillz. I asked because I've got a skirt that needs some repair.

A good bodyshop suppose to prep more carefully by fixing all the defective before paint it.
