Default Where can I wash my car?

Hey guys, new to the Richmond area. My apartment complex does not have a car washing area and I do not want to put my Z through the torture of a car wash. Anyone know of a place where I can take the car and wash it myself (no machine wash)? Thanks.

Buy all the necessary stuff, ie bucket sponge soap, ect.

Go to a car wash thats not busy, ie on a Wednesday midmorning and wash with your own soap and a bucket. Most frown upon bucket washing, but if you do it when no one is there, your all good! Whatever you do only use the water, and spot rinse, nothing else!

Make sure you wash the wheels in a separate bucket or clean them last!

Doing it mid-morning is impossible for me. I have to work to afford the Z! Yeah I saw the pictures of the high schoolers using that broom! The only car washes I have seen here are the ones on the back of gas stations

i know there's a few around here that just use high powered water jets so there's no contact with your car, i know there's one near short pump, there's one off 295 near my parents house...if you post your area maybe someone near you could post one close to you, otherwise just find a wash your own car place and take a bucket, i know there's a few of those around here i have passed before. i just wash mine at my parents place cause it's free and i don't have to worry about waiting in line or someone waiting on me

I'm in Glen Allen right off rt33, so short pump is not too far from me. I have not explored the area as of yet. Maybe when I get a free weekend I'll drive around. Where exactly is that car wash in Short pump?
