That's not TOO bad, it's about 20 miles away from me. Have you had personal experience with them?

I have recently been dealing with the guys ar fredrick Nissan and they seem to do great work, I know they have the body shop there. The Owners name is Gene Hickman, seems like a good guy. Another shop that I have herd good things about is Mr. Spoiler in Manassas. Try to give them a call.

Yeah they repaired my entire front end after I was hit. IMO it looks better than it did when I first bought it. The paint matching was awesome and the fitment of my new bumper, fenders, headlight and re-alignment of the hood was as good as factory. They do great work.

The only complaint I would have is that since they are so thorough and detail oriented they are, I guess you could say a little slow, which isn't much of a complaint. To them time is not money, which I guess you can't complain about either when you're looking for quality work.

If you call them ask for Shawn, and tell him Jim with the red 350z sent you.

J-Dawg, how is their pricing..? I was initially going to use them for my mods but one of their customers sort of scared me off with his estimate on pricing for bodywork/painting.. I have seen their work at HIN and have to say it was very impressive. If the pricing is reasonable I would definitely consider them for the bodywork and painting for my ZR.

I wouldn't call it reasonable by any means, but their work is good from what I've seen. They quoted me around $2,000 for my Do-Luck, and they said the Veilside V3 (non-widebody, just bumpers and sideskirts) in white for another customer was around $2,600.

Tha's what I thought. I agree their work is very good. Is this for the complete install or just the painting. I have heard rumors of install/paint of a complete body kit costing well over $6,000... OUCH!

2K is exactly what I paid for the paint/install of my Vizage kit. If you figure the labor rate at between 80 and 90 / hour, and it takes one guy at least two days to do this, you're looking at around $1500 just in labor. Add primer/paint, etc. to that, and it adds up fast. I would imagine that Urethane should be a little quicker to prep and paint than fiberglass, but not 100% certain.

Owning a business myself, I can't believe how people run theirs sometimes. Side story, they said they were doing a VS Version 3 for $2,600 and that it would cost $2,000 for my kit. I stated that a widebody veilside is a shitload more work, and could not understand why mine would only be $600 less. He snapped back at me saying it's not a widebody. I said ok, well the VS Version 3 is a widebody kit. He said its the same one as blah blah (that guy with the flowers on his car) which is a widebody...so I said, yup, that's a widebody. Anyways, some smart *** comment later, and the convo was over with.

Called Century one more time and got the wife again. I think the husbands name is Hameed or something. Anyways I was asking to speak to him and got the vibe that she didn't want me to for some odd reason. In the end she said all he's gonna do is ask the body guy...so umm...yeah. Maybe I should just forget about the kit and do the big brake kit instead of dealing with all this stuff.
I will tell you bro. I think waiting is a damn good idea seeing as your having such a problems finding a good shop. If it was me I would just sit on my kit to I found a shop you trust and do your BBK. NO need to rush paint work.

Man if somebody would just start dealing with after market work they would make a killing.

You got a great deal. As I've stated before, I get the ******* about having paint work done 'on the side' or 'by a buddy' (or both in your case) because you have no recourse if something goes wrong. I'm one of those people who really likes the comfort of being able to b!tch when I'm unsatisfied, knowing that if they value their customers, they'll do the right thing. (I know, this from the guy who slapped a turbo on his car at 7800 miles....But you know what I mean)

Wagonworks is by far the best run body shop in the DC area, and executes with thorough precision. For OEM work, they can't be beat, but they are definitely on the expensive side. My father recently had work done there on his BMW, and the car looks brand new from the factory.

But for aftermarket stuff, I don't know how much experience they have.

Wow - guess I'm lucky my fiance's uncle has a body shop - I can just pull in there on the weekends and do whatever work I see fit. All i have to do is reimburse him for materials I use, so I think I've installed the front lip, side skirts, rear skirt and hood for about $120.00.

Hey KCO...industry standard for automotive work might be 80-90, but for body work all the shops I know around this area charge 36-40 for autobody work.

Wow, I was not aware of that difference in pricing. That's interesting.

BTW, how are you liking the Turbonetics kit? I'm interested to hear from other drivers that have it.

LOVING the kit...I am beating up on everything I come across in Southern MD...no one expects the Z to hang with their V8s here, so the rednecks are totally blown away when a silver streak goes flying past...I'm not even sure most around knows what the front end of a Z looks like...but I know they have the back end down to a science.

Seems to pull strong and steady all the way through the rpm range. Did you get all the issues with yours ironed out yet?
