Exclamation Capitol Raceway Friday 9/30!

I am probobly going to go to the track tomorrow and see if I can finally hit 12's NA. High of 68 tomorrow with a very cool, perfect for racing night time temp. I have already talked to 3 other local Z owners, who are possibly coming. I just wanted to let anybody else who might be interested know. We should be pulling good traps tomorrow. Lets make this a mini Z meet guys.

For those that dont know here are some directions/info: http://www.capitolraceway.com/location.htm

Yeah I saw that. Only thing is you cant really see the driver shifting with that you need something to sit back further. I just made a ghetto camera mount, here is the test vid-----> right click, save as

well, the camera is aimed nicely at the gearbox... would be nice to have another camera aimed at the road/gauges ... then some editing and it would look pro.

so 5pm, right? can you gimme a call whenever you guys get there? so we can meet somewhere before the race. i have a coupla noob questions.. hehe

Do you know where Rt. 3 is in Crofton? Its the exit you take off of rt 97 to get to the track. We can meet say at 5:00-5:15 on rt 3 before we go to the track? Can you be in that area then?

Im in, i dunno if my nitrous is working right or not but ill race regardless.
Im shootin for mid 12's because the pull of the nitrous is pretty weak, and i have less power with my safer ecu flash.

heh...that didnt go to well.... my car was giving me ****...then bert's... ehhh.... ran 14.3... could've done better, but couldnt keep my POS steady..and could barely put it in first, and while in first it would start moving already with the clutch in...weird, it was perfect RIGHT before the track... damn it... =(((

Well only got 2 runs in, and I never even got to run when the weather cooled down. Car didnt feel strong at all, my first run suked ***** and my car pulled weak 13.3 @ a measly 104. Second run it felt even worse up top, and as Im going through the traps my car seemed to misfire. On the return road it misfired badly. I parked it for 1 hour, started it up, boom, pop, passenger side cylinders are misfirin glike crazy, and my service engine soon light is fuking flashing at me. I have no idea whats wrong with my car, its been runnign weak and now this. Its parked at my gf's house till I can pull the code and see whats up. Ugghhh this sucks, figures I get nice weather and agood shot at 12's and this crap happens. BTW on the $hit run where my car ran like a$$ I went 13.4 @ 104 <-----WEAK! Ill post the in car vid of the runs if you guys want.

EDIT- HERE is the video of the first run, damn I really beat the $hit out of the car warming up the slicks I think bouncing limiter so much fuked something up damnit. Anyways just thought Id share this vid, btw dont laugh at the launch it was bad-1.92 60ft, I launched to low and I bogged. Notice how the car pulls like crap up top, damn my car has gotten slower over the past few months. Im happy my ghetto camera mount works well though

LOl..man i don't even know what happened when lookin' at the video. Well, why do you shift like that....is it to prevent misshifting? Hmmmm...could be ur spark plugs that are causing misfire?

Sup guys, I was down at the track...saw/met a few of you, wish I had seen this thread earlier but oh well. The weather was real nice but I didnt get any good runs in, 13.9...I kept bogging also, thinking back on it it was prob b.c. of the sticky traction stuff that they were spraying I should have launched from higher than I usually do. The track was so damn crowded also, only got 2 runs in 4 hrs =/.

I think your referring to me lining my arm up before the shifts. Its funny I never knew how I did that until I saw the vid, you can see me do it after I hit 3rd, I line up my arm for 4th gear. Yes prevents mis-shifting for me, I hardly ever miss a gear.
