Default Skiers & Snowboarders

Wisp is already open, I'm going this Sat and next weekend, also this weekend Liberty, Roundtop, and Whitetail are opening up. Yes I know there are mountains I'm just naming the ones that I know and are close by me. Anyone else plan on going? This is my last winter up here so I'm going as much as I can

I plan on hitting the slopes soon. I ski'd for years, but just started boarding last year...

I think Tussey Mountain in the State College, PA area opens this weekend. I'm working here next week, so I plan to hit the slopes on tuesday and thursday. 10.80 and 9.75 lift tickets... yee haw.

I love Whitetail... and I'm hoping Montage mountain opens soon as well.

We're heading up to Ski Apache in Ruidoso, NM. I just bought a new board this year. Good thing is when we're done skiing I can drive 2 hours home and be back in 60 degree weather.

I braved the elements last night in State College, PA and headed to Tussey Mountain... Was one of the best times I had boarding in a while (considering I went alone b/c I'm out of town on business and the resort is not that big). About 6"+ of fresh powder from 4-9PM... (along with the 24" base and 10" of snow from last week). PERFECT weather. Got so warm it started to rain around 9PM and thats when I took 2 more runs and packed it in...

Looking to get out next Tuesday again if not before. Tuesday nights at Tussey are $9.80 from 4-10. *wide-eyed*

^ Of course I have the normal stiffness that you have when you are inactive through the summer (other than shifting gears in the Z) and then board for the first time of the year, but it's worth it...

Only whiped out once when I hit about 12-18" of very soft fresh powder going 40mph, but that one definitely didn't feel to good...

I just went up to Blue Mountain Tuesday (12/27) and it was decent conditions. The warmer weather helped out as there wasn't really any ice.

Only bad part I never thought about was I can't fit my snowboard in the Z!
