USN,
I'm stationed at Little Creek NAB for around 7 more months. Then I'm heading over to Portsmouth School of Naval Health Sciences for advanced X ray. Did you know anyone over at SanDiego Naval Hospital that worked in the x-ray department?

You guys should check out Abacus in Va bch. They are a complete fabrication/machine/speed shop that specializes in race cars. Last I was their they had a GT3 350Z in carbon fiber (still a 4cyl) and too many other rides to mention.
As well the autocross in pungo always yeilds 3-6 350Z. If you go say hi to the Jims for me.

I left Abacus a message on their machine and I also e-mailed them. They never replied to either. That makes me think twice about a company I am thinking of dealing with.

Uh? While the most I have ever done with them is a dyno, they were great and treated us like we spent 5k with them. I even think the Tidewater Z Club had a dyno day there last year. But yes that would make me think twice as well.

Wow, small world! Thats my ppw Z this thread was started over. I was working on it pretty hard untill a few cops started stopping me for ANYTHING! I went through a few sets of wheels, and a few exhausts! There are lots of bolt ons, but nothing big. seats and takatas for race days. After my last exhaust ticket (3rd) they wouldnt let me pre pay anymore, I had to go to court. So I had to go back to my stock exhaust. It realy pissed me off, and I quit working on the car. My contract with RECARO is up now, so im going to pull all the vinyl off, possibly go back to a stock hood, and "try" to fly under the radar! I may look for a better stock "looking" exhaust, but who knows. The law has REALY taken all the fun out of owning it for me!

We saw a couple of new faces at auto-x last sunday. I had Jim Haltom of Autocross.us record one of the Z's that ran the last heat but sadly the disc was not set up properly and we didn't get that footage. Was that you?

There is another meet at the same location (pungo) 2 weeks from the last one and is held by Tidewater Sportscar Club. You can register online at Autocross.US.

Welcome to Autocross and hope you had a good time, if it was you out there this past Sunday, you looked like you had a good time.We hope to see you out there again.

No, this is Brett with the silverstone track model. I've talked to you before. I was in the 1st heat also.

Beachcombers is slow to post times. I would have caught that it was Brett in the 4th heat and not you as I like to scrutinize the results, my bad!
But anyway it was good to see the # of 350's out there and hope everyone comes to the track again.

Why do the VaBch police scrutinize modders so much, when it doesn't seem like police in other areas of Va have as much a problem. Do we have stricter laws or something? Which models of exhaust did you have on your car? I was thinking of going with an Injen Super SES, but now you have me worried.

Injen Super SES! Im not sure its ALL the cops here. I got into it pretty good the first time he stopped me! (not a very good idea on my part ) after that he kept stopping me. As far as I know, im the ONLY one with this problem. If I were back in detroit, I wouldnt have this problem.

I have seen a lot of modded cars, they can't all be having issues.
