Default $1500 for body kit paint.Rip off?

I was quoted $1200-1500 just for painting 2 sideskirts and rear underskirt.
The kit is orginal JP Aero (good fitment).
IS this price right? It sounds a lot to me.

Please feel free to chip in!

Jakub

PS. Also if someone knows a good bodyshop in DC area, please let me know

That seems pretty high just for some skirts. Theres a shop around here (Newport News), that is painting my full Amuse front bumper, and sides/rear lip all for $400.

They do pretty good work too, I had my last kit painted there. Definitely shop around.

wow...just for the skirts and the rear apron? Yeah, that's too expensive. I paid 2K for the entire JP Aero kit to be painted (bumper, skirts, apron, wing). The shop that didn't isn't doing aftermarket work anymore, but you can check out WagonWorks, Century Auto Service, or D&V Autobody.

I just had a front bumper and a Nismo spoiler painted for $486. I removed the bumper myself and took it and the spoiler to the shop. They wanted another $150 to remove and reinstall it themselves. Had two quotes for the spoiler alone: $195 and $304.
