Default LOL! Another ticket tonight!

Right on the border of Fairfax County and Prince William County. Fairfax cops got me. I was leaving the light in second and he said, "You almost shattered my windows". LOL.

So I got another ticket for inproper exhaust and no front tags. Which is funny, cause I told him the last fairfax county cop that stopped me told me that unless the bracket came from the factory on the front of the car, the plate wasnt required, and that as long as the exhaust was a cat back the only thing I could get hit on was sound violation!

Anyway, when I brought all that up, he asked if I had been drinking, tried to get me into a few bull**** lies, then gave me a test.

Of course I passed, I dont drink and drive my Z anyway. I told him I was surprised he gave me a ticket for the exhaust and the tags and not the NOS or the tint wich was clearly illegal. He said that that looked fine, and he didnt think my NOS was hooked up, which is legal to have as long as its not.

Anyway, it was all pretty silly, he was saying that he could take my tags and have my car towed, but since I was so cooperative, that he wouldn't. He said that I just needed to sign this copy (of which mine were already removed so they dont have my signature), and get all this fixed so the next cop will not have my car towed.

Boy, thats what I get for taking someone to dinner. Sheesh!

Why do I live here again? The money isn't becoming that attractive anymore.

hey man sorry to hear about the incident. funny thing is i drive by cops all the time and they never cite me for my tons of violations. Let's see... no front plate, huge Stillen windshield decal, race pipes, loud a** exhaust, etc. even drove through a check-point in reston the other day where the cops were standing at the toll booths and visually inspecting cars as they came through for violations. he saw i had no front plate, the huge decal on the windshield, had to hear the exhaust and still didn't even stop me.

i even had a cop pull me over a month or two ago after i nailed it down the greenway. he just pulled me over laughing and asked if i had anywhere to go driving that fast. just asked for my license and said be careful driving that fast during rush hour. he even caught me on the upswing of what had to be at least 85-90 in a 65 on the Dulles Greenway.

30% all around. However, last night as dark and wet as it was, it would pretty obvious when he shined his flashlight in how dark it was =)

Ahh well. Few more tickets and they can fund their department dance off of me! =)

Nowell, did you admit your exhaust was illegal? If not, fight that **** in court. Cop needs proof it isn't stock or OEM-like. Doubt he's gonna get a picture of a stock Z and a picture of yours along with sound clips of each. Sucks not to have a resonator, huh? At least you don't have the thunderous metal pipe I call an exhaust on my Evo. Then you would get pulled daily.

FFXPD will own you these days if your car is modded. I gave up on that front plate and feel much more confident when I see an officer....plus I've moved to Loudoun.

I probably paid close to $500 in fix-it tickets for no front plate...$hit was getting expensive!

In a court of law, the "you can't prove my exhaust isn't legal" debate won't hold up anymore ever since the Civic ricer days of 10+ years ago, bottem line, you will lose.. ESPECIALLY in FFX. The judges won't even bring up that sort of case anymore since it's been fought by lawyers/officers a billion times before in the past... nowadays it's strictly in the cop's discression. For the tint thing, turn on your dome lights if you get pulled over, your tint will look lighter. If your bumper doesn't have holes for the front plate, keep your front plate handy + the Z bracket or some sort of bracket handy in your car just incase you get pulled over. In that instance, you can always pull out the evidence that you were planning to install these and you were scheduled at the dealership next week because you just got your front bumper replaced from a front end collision, they'll most likely will let you go everytime with that same excuse even if it's totally fabricated as long as you have some sort of proof, there's no reason not to believe you and no point in giving you a ticket if it's going to be fixed in a few days.

BTW who leaves the light in 2nd gear? That would require more revs and clutch slip meaning louder than a smooth 1st gear take off....

I wasn't even on it and he said I rattled his windows. I think its just cause you cant be a good looking young guy in a sports car after the sun goes down here. If you are, your profiled as a drunk driver.

yeah, it is like domestic cars, and harleys can make more noise than anyone can stand, but cops seem to love to go after imports. I mean I have Harleys beside me all the time, and I can't hear **** for their exhaust.

I have a question. My Mastergrade kit is somewhat of a longnose and I'm planning on putting the plate on the tow hook but since it's probably about 4 or 5 inches back behind the bumper will they still pull me for not having a front plate? FFX cops suck big donkey d*ck and have cost me a lot of money so nowdays I just carry my Attorney's card and they often are atleast more polite. ^ on what Mike said but right now we (escpecially in FFX) have a lot of cops that used to be Marines who want to come and flex their muscles or act like they are the sh*t. I think a lot of police are jealous of Z owners since I've even had one ask me how I liked it and that he wants to get one someday and when I told him mine was the track he made some kind of muttered but rude remark about me getting the more expensive one.
