We always see and hear about the regular meets such as the one at Starbucks in Richmond or the Chick-fil-a in the Chantilly area.

This is just a feeler to see who would be interested in starting a regular or semi-regular get together in or near the Kingstowne Shopping Center. IMO this general area would serve well for us that live in the Alexandria, Springfield, etc area. I've heard that some people have met there on occaision, but is there any interest in making this a more regular thing?

I can most probably come on either friday or saturday. work schedule comes out on wednesday, so I will try my best to come, sunday would work too, I will definately let you guys know this wednesday when my schedule comes out

 

Definately a good idea. I know a bunch of people on/around Ft. Belvoir that would like this... especially since the Mega Meet isn't going on at the moment. Saturday sounds good. I'd say we meet up like in the Toys R Us parking lot... there's hardly any cars there in the evening (which I'm guessing would be the timeframe for this).

 

i'll be back to northern va in a week, and then i don't start work until aug 16th. so i should have plenty of free time to hang out unless i head out to europe or something

Sweet...let's set it for Sat night to meet between 6:30 and 7 in the Toys-R-Us Parking lot. Let's just remember to all be "smart" about how we conduct ourselves. Also if lots of cars show up we need to keep in mind that we may be asked to leave as we will be on private property. I'd like to see a good turn out, but let's not let this get out of control.

If it rains, we can either push it to Sunday evening or just wait till next week.

Oh yeah... I might not make it out Sat night... I'll be out of town. I let some of my boys know... they might show up.

And if you guys get kicked out of the parking lot, take it to the top deck of Springfield Mall parking garage. Plenty of room up there, and you shouldn't get too much trouble from people since everyones too lazy to park up there and walk down some stairs to get to the mall.

Depends on traffic... how long does it take for you to get to Springfield? It's about 5-10 minutes from Springfield mall.

This Saturday doesnt work for me unf but would be up for it if it becomes a regular thing as I live in Manchester Lakes sort of behind the Shoppers Food Warehouse corner of Beulah and Kingsotwne. BTW - could it rain any more around here right now, my baby is overdue for some Zaino!

Are regular dolts like me without mods or tint or 20" wheels invited to these gigs? Thats a partially serious partially sarcastic question.
