VA and MD 350Z
I'm tired of dealing with the bastards from the dealership. Does anyone from the VA or MD area know any good shops that will do good work on my Z and matainance? Later I’m going to get work done to the body and engine, but for know I have the 30K matainance due.

i don't know what part of VA you are in, but at Pohanka Nissan in Fredericksburg the service manager Jeremy is a great guy. They seriously Fcuked my car up (did the fuel filler hose recall and then forgot to secure the brakes so my brakes came off as I was going down the road) and they gave me a rental car, paid for my gas, washed, waxed and detailed the interior of the Z and now I can get any Nismo part at true cost. Jeremy is a first class guy, and knows how to do business extremely well. The rest of the people there I could do without.

Try another dealer. Their service vary greatly from dealer to dealer. You can have a really crappy one then drive 30 mins and have the greatest in the area, check em out. Im blessed with a good one in Chesapeake(Hall Nissan). Where are you in VA? As far as performance there is AAM in MD, CP in NC, MRC in NJ. Search for these places they are very prominent!

I've always been satisfied with Herb Gordon Nissan on Rt. 29 north of Silver Spring, MD, but that's a haul for you. I've been dealing with them since 1974, and have only had a couple of minor issues, which could be expected from anyone in 32 years. Just out of curiosity, who's your dealer now. I've started working at Tysons Corner right across Rt 7 from a Nissan dealership. I really like Herb Gordons but they're 12 miles in the wrong direction from work for me, whereas I could just drop my car off accross the street from work. So I'm going to have to think about that one, unless of course that's the dealer that sucks.

Can Nissan guys get work done at Infiniti dealers? If so, I'd recommend going to Passport Infiniti in Alexandria. I live in Harford County, MD and I drive 80 miles one way to Passport. All the other Infiniti dealers in MD (expect Annapolis, haven't tried them yet) are morons and I don't trust them with my car. If you do go, ask for Jeff Tanner and tell him that Stanton sent you. He'll take care of you. If you can't get work done at an Infiniti dealer, best of luck to you in finding a good shop, I know they're hard to find.

I bought my Z at Rosenthal and I've gone there for everything that I have done. To tell you the truth I'm sick of them. I had once gotten an oil change there and my car came back with a dent on my front plate. I wasn't to happy about it but it was just the plate thankfully. Yesterday I got another oil change and a wheel alignment and it took them 4 hours to do it . They tried to smooth me over and not charge me for my oil change but the funny thing is that I get free oil changes from the dealership anyway because its part of the warranty package I bought.
I used to work for the Enterprise in Fairfax that serviced Brown's Nissan and they "seem" to be pretty good. Never got any service done there though. The Manassas Nissan/Mitsu place I got my brake pads replaced at were pretty good though. Might start going to them for now on.
