One thing that they did that sems like a good idea:

I am going to make this cruise, but its quite a hike from PA. Can anyone recommend a good place to stay in Manassas the night before? And some decent things to do there if I come down the day before?

I found motel 8s and stuff, but didn't know if there was something cooler around...

Backing out

I'don't think I should go on the cruise because I will only have my car back from having the engine built for a couple days. I don't think skyline drive would be the best way to break the new engine in. I still might show up at Bob Evans that morning. Sorry for the late notice, I was supposed to have my car back over a month and a half ago. Hopefully it will be worth the wait. I have updated the list. Wish I could go.

I selected Bob Evans because it is a good place for some chow. I will definitely get something to eat. Still, as I mentioned at the beginning of the thread, I would like for us to depart at 11:00.

Interest in the Skyline Drive Cruise is very positive. Parking in the Bob Evans lot is limited to the rear. There is additional parking available (shown here) on the east side of Bob Evans.

Well I guess from Richmond to manassas would take about hour and a half and they are meating up there at 10.....so i guess prob 8am to be on the safe side.
