Talking Anyone want to trade FD's?

I want to trade my 3.3 FD out of my 03 Touring for your 3.5. I've got about 41k miles on my car, somebody with FI needs this 3.3 i know it!

is it a direct swap with the auto FD? My car will be at AAM in the next week or so getting the LSD diagnosed -- while they've got it out, might be the perfect time to swap

i need a bit more top-end (being on the autobahn and whatnot)

lmk,

well, its not necessary, but if you plan on going FI the lower gears give you better acceleration, since FI guys say that with the 3.5 FD 1st gear is almost not needed, but with the 3.3 that gives them the ability to get more out of the gears.

It works the opposite way with 5AT Z's... its like the 3.3 slows us down. Its a popular swap, and I hear it really wakes up the AT Z.

Is your Z a daily driver?

If its not, you could uninstall it, send it to me, I will have them swapped out, and I will send you my 3.3. I know it sounds sketchy, but I really want to swap, and you desperately need to swap. Maybe we could work out some kind of deposit?

can you just switch out the gears? I don't know THAT much about the rear end, other than it can be a complete swap. If its pretty simple and just swapping out the gears is possible/realatively the same cost then I could do that.

Can anybody shed any light on this for me?

you cannot just swap the gears it has to be the whole pumpkin.the internal size is different, external is the same.

the 3.5 gears will only work in a original 6 speed pumpkin.if you have an original auto pumpkin the gears cannot be used.

Haha I'd like to have an RX-7.. I would do a LS1 swap into it tho, or whatever engine is the popular swap. I think that'd be pretty sweet.

However, I would like to swap Final Drives with someone, not RX-7's lol.
