Default Oh man.. Brent is gonna have a fit!

So I picked up Brents wheels from Ryan today so I can put some new rubber on 'em while he is out of town...

and then it happened....

..This is what happens when you leave your wheels dirty. Dear god.. these things were black as night!

Steps to clean:

Wash the faces and lips with soft thick pile microfiber mits.

Wash Inner barrels with mild kitchen scrub sponge (low pressure)

Clay the Lips, and the Face:

NXT

This is another one of those times I should have taken a "before" picture...

Ryan can attest to The codition of the wheels when I picked them up....

They WERE dirty as hell!

Those can't be, 'MY' rims... The ones I dropped off had 1,500 miles of x-country brake dust, 1 month of storage, 1 month of x-country transport and 1 month of shop dirt on them...
Last time I saw them they were a very dark gray with hints of red.

MIKE: Take before pictures man.... ;-(

Oh, and thanks for such an attention to detail. Dude, you are the detailing King.... Those rims have not looked that good since I got them... To think I was going to throw them away because I thought they were trashed.. LOL

Shhhh.. Don't tell brent... LOL. Actually I am suprised that they are still on there. Mine fell off after about 10K miles. Maybe sometime after the Rally, and before it gets cold I can have a small informal Detail session at my house.

Fronts dont really look too bad at all... the rears or a bit worse off.. esp. the drivers side rear.. corded on the inside. You need an alignment!

Advance did have the Microfiber mits.... not sure if they have them still.

You can get the sponges from any grocery store.

Advance should also have the Claybar and the NXT.

Take them off the car.. unless you want your hands to look like they went thru a meat grinder.... lots of sharp things in the wheel wells.
