Default Hello

Hey guys, just finally wanted to introduce myself after using this forum for about 6 months and never fully getting around to doing so. May seem random but I can't sleep right now, and have to get up for work in a few hours so I'm just killing time looking through the forum.

Yeah, but I've seen a lot of Z's in this area and even wave or thumbs up when I pass them. Don't know if anyone has seen me around but I drive a black 06' base M/T Z in the Nova area with tint and a shortened antenna. I also go to Mason and have seen a silver and a white Z with a body kit on it. Just wanted to introduce myself though, and now pics

Mike

White one with bronze rims at mason? Good **** if your a fellow mason head.

Yeah, I'm a good believer of go before show, and although for me i'm not all about going the fastest, I want to be able to pull more power than stock, plus being 20 and this being my car that I saved up for and still making payments on, it's gonna be hard to do all I want to do.

That being said, so far I have a JWT popcharger, and swapped it's pumpkin, and a few minor appearance mods such as tint and such, but am planning on adding MREV2 and the 5/16 spacer sometime this month, then getting new pulleys and then headers and exhaust sometime in the near future. I also want some lighter rims and maybe a lip around my car.

That should keep me happy till I can afford to go forced.

Hey man, Welcome to the Mid A!

Few suggestions, don't get headers (stock are just fine), use that money for other parts! Also, might want to ask around to a few people here before going with the MREV kit. Again, can save a few bucks. Just means you can put more in somewhere else (for that more expensive exhaust, or a lip kit or something).

Anyway, hope to see you around the shows/races this spring!

Haha thank you all. Yeah, I was actually planning on going with the mrev kit, but looks like the sale fell through and i didn't know about it...(was going to buy from another member) Not that big of a deal. I decided that I'll make my car look decent first before spending money on bolt ons when I may want to got F/I in the future.

^ good deal, doesn't hurt to get some bling before taking the big FI step. The car looks naked without rims and at least a lip. Since you're new, you technically can't go wrong with exterior mods/rims, but if you don't do your research, a FI setup could be your worst enemy. Read-up on all the *KABOOM* stories here

Pick up a spacer and a set of test pipes and that should cover your power needs until you go F/I. You'd be surprised what kind of gains can be had with just those two mods and a pop charger.
