Default Emission Testing and Inspection Northern VA (Stafford)

Hopefully somebody out there can help. I'm moving from California to Northern Virginia in a week and I'm probably going to have to get my modified (JWT TT) 2005 350Z emission tested and safety inspected does anyone know a place I could go to? I know it will pass the emission part, the engines not built and the boost is low, I'm just worried about the visual part. It's lowered no front plate yet (will get stillen one), light tint, and JWT TT with carb sticker for pop charger. What do you guys think my chances are. Any referral to an emission/inspection shop would be awesome. Don't know where else to turn!
Thanks

i think your only problem might be that you dont have a front plate. as long as you arent throwing a cel, lights work, horn works, other stupid stuff, you pass inspection. some places are more strict than others, but having a turbo and tint won't fail you.

What % is your tint? If they make you take it off just let me know (Im a tinter). Im about to do the same and move from MD to No.Va. and I am going to have to do the same thing most likely. Minus the turbo concern of course.

I guess I'll post here instead of making a new thread.

Where does everyone go to get their safety inspection? Mine ends at the end of this month.

NOVA guys only.

Mine passed safty with the TNetics and single exhaust, front plate in the window, etc etc. Most of you know what my car used to be/look like. I just rulled up to a shell off 234 and it was done in 15 min. No worries.

I never knew the front plate was even a problem. I didn't think that not having one in the front would cause any "safety" issues.

Inspection stations won't bother you for plates or tint, however they are state-regulated and finding a more "lenient" emissions tester is near impossible. Some places are really **** and won't even pass a lowered car, and be forewarned that there are little things they check on our safety inspection that CA never checks. So where should you go? I have no idea as I always took mine to the most convenient place I could. If you fail, then it only costs a few dollars to have it retested within a two week period.

Edit: I haven't confirmed this, but last time I checked the VA emissions databases hadn't synced to the registration renewal or safety inspection databases, so after your initial emissions check, you may be able to skirt free for awhile... Whenever I went to get an inspection, they simply asked what I needed and didn't check to see whether or not I needed emissions.

Here is what I am running and my hawaii plates expire on sept 30th, so I basically have a month to get VA plates. Turbonetics, JIC single exhaust, no cats, tien stech springs, 15% tint, adr msport rims.

Thanks,
Andy
