McLean/Great Falls makes those houses look "average big," you wanna see mansion? I'll show you some mansions. There's this one house on the side of route 7 in Great Falls/McLean that has 2 15ft high, 10ft wide statues of Lions in the front, accompanied with a Gate, some sorta bridge looking overpass, and a whole array of other things.

South Riding area = poor man's mansions
McLean/Great Falls = REAL mansions that start @ 3 mil, and I've seen it go as far as 15 mil.
Then you probably know the Huge White Mansion I refer to as the "Miniature White House". It's in Great Falls right before you get to the Great Falls Park, on the left (Coming from 495). I think it was selling of few years back for about 15 Mil.

Its not just the shear cost of those homes that really gets you. The maintenance and utilities are rediculous. Then just add that oh so wonderful property tax. Hahahaha What an absurd amount of money to spend on all that extra space that you may use once every 2-3 months, if ever. People who live in those have all these rooms that mostly go unused. Very sad.

I know that house too. Went to an estate sale last week in Mclean. The house was 12k sq ft. Everything in the house was priced at over $1000. I went there hoping to get a good deal. Nope! They even had a Picasso painting for sale. I think it was a copy though, even though they tried to convince me otherwise.

The red house in the attached pic is my parents house in great falls. I was thinking of having a wash detail day there when it gets warmer. Its also a good area for pics. Plenty of parking in the dead end part of the street too.

Let's setup a "Twisty Roads" meet/drive/cruise through great falls, no newbs that will fly into ditches allowed!

Sounds good to me. It would be fun to do it late night when its dark, and there are absolutly no cars on the roads. Granted we also have a problem with driving fast on twisty roads, and LOTS of deer. Could = problems.

Man that must be the thing to do in the NOVA/MD/DC area. I met a few guys over the past few summers down at our boat who do the same thing - and thier boats were WAY larger than ours

These are 2 of my favorite house's in the Great Falls/McLean area;

The first house belongs to Ian Landy who now works with Pure Exotics, and yes...he has a man-made lake on his property. I had pics before my computer crashed, it's the biggest house i've EVER seen. The GoogleEarth pic does no justice. Some of his car collection;

1.1927 Bugatti Type 35B
2.1929 Bentley 4.5
3. 1939 Jaguar SS100

(If you have an address of a house you'd like to know property value or info about who owns the house, and it's located in Fairfax County...i can get you that info no problem. Please PM me.)
