well see it depends, when i had my truck with short stacks and stright pipes i never ever ever got crap for it. but i have a buddy with a STOCK mazda speed with a turbo that looks like a tricked out little car. and have seen him get pulled for a stock one. so if you are a young guy with a import of any kind (espicaly with the little red enlisted sticker on your windshield) you are going to get hassled, but if you drive a vette with stright pipes 10% window tint no front plate and slicks, your all good

+1000!!!

Absolutely right!!! I had a riced out neon a while back when i was in the navy. With a fart pipe (Not the really loud ones) And 50% tint (legal). I got pulled all the time for my tint, because with my factory glass tint it made it read like 2% darker with their little scanner thingy. You obviously can't tell 2% by just looking, so i obviously was singled out due to my "riceyness".

Honestly, in the Hampton Roads area, you wont be really bothered. Most of us have aftermarket exhausts and i havent heard anyone getting harrassed. Its mainly northen VA like FairFax that most of the bull**** occurs. I say you got the green light!

VA Beach cops are known for being very ****. There was a z owner who had a really modded PPW Z. CF hood, bronze rims, huge Recaro vinyls going down each side and the Injen angled exhaust. To sum it up, he got so fed up with getting pulling over for his exhaust, he wanted to trade it or sell it.

FWIW, I've been running the Nismo cat back and RT high flows for around 3 years with no problems.....(knock on wood)

Good luck!

Ian

Default Norfolk Z

Hey guys. I'm in a Liquid Aluminum '04 Touring with bronze NISMO's, Stoptech front brakes, NISMO exhaust, JWT intake, and JWT heavy duty clutch/lightweight flywheel. Thinking about selling...don't want my baby covered in bird poop and salt spray by the piers. Hit me up if interested at all.

I'm in Colonial Place if you happen to see a silver Z heading up Granby or down Hamption.

Tell you what - I'd rather sell it as a package (it's incredibly fun to drive and sounds great) but if that takes forever, I'll give you guys first dibs on the parts. Fair enough?
