You've never heard of fender rolling?

It's a common practice, if you've lowered your car, to avoid rubbing or damaging your rear tires.

Old fashioned way was to take a bat and put it between the tire and fender at an angle and roll the bat to push the fender lip up. Now a days you can buy a tool that attaches to your hub and has an adjustable arm with a nice plastic/urethane roller. To do this right, you MUST use a heat gun and keep heat on the fender. You heat the fender and progressively add more tension to the inner lip and roll for more clearance. IMO-rolling is far superior to cutting in...

1. It doesnt cut the spot welds on the inner fender (remember its 2 pieces)
2. Wont rust due to reason above
3. In the cars Ive done no touch up paint needed, even when done "correct" cutting requires repainting to prevent rust
4. Who the fawk wants to cut there fenders and weaken them! You would be surprised how many guys do it cuz they cant find a good roller or somebody reasonable in price. I roll the rears for $80 and rent the tool to "respected" forum member for $60....

If you ask me all Z rear fenders should come from the factory rolled (the stock front fenders are smooth).

^ Hey Bert, if I don't have it done by the time I get back there, I'ma have you roll my fenders... gonna need clearance for ~265-275s. I'm curious how my 255's are gonna hold up.
