What were you guys pulled over for?

 

Amber and I both got tickets from the same cop. We left early because they had to look at some townhouses with their realtors and I led them back. So on 211 I was having some fun punching it on the straights while Amber was chilling not really speeding at all.

But she deciding to join in on the fun and while we were actually slowing down from one of the straights a cop was sitting inbetween two berms and nabbed us. At first I thought he was going to pull me over (Damn Le Mans Sunset color! ) because he went past Amber and pointed to me to pull over but then stopped in the right lane and got Amber to. We pulled into a old church parking lot and thats when Jesse took that picture. Pretty funning barring the circumstance .

Ticket sucked. Reckless driving 82mph in a 55mph. Haven't found out the details of how much the ticket is and if I have to show up in court.

But I did find out this from the DMV:

Damn reckless driving ticket stays on your driving record for 11 years!!! Felony or misdemeanor! I hope it is a misdemeanor and not a felony. I may just go to court and see if the judge will drop it to like 74mph speeding ticket so I don't get a reckless for being over 20mph or anything over 80mph.


This sucks! I will definitely think twice now before hitting it on the straights on VA roadways.

MIR and VIR for me now if I want to go fast and get the adreline rush.

Bummer dude....sorry to hear. We had two troopers pacing our "caravan" through Winchester, but they didn't pull us over. It's a midemeanor, definitely go to court if you have a decent record though.

 

Va is notorious for catching speeders. Got a ticket for doing 71 in a 65 on I-64. You read it right 71 in a 65 at 6:30 am near the N. C. state line.

 

There should be box that is checked stating whether or not you have to go to court.

Regardless, take a driver improvement class ASAP (www.driveslow.com). Yes it will ruin your saturday (8 hour course) but it will all but erase your ticket (takes off 5 points -- reckless is 6 points).

The reason why I say "ASAP" is because if the DMV/Court makes you take it you don't get any points taken off (Voluntary=5points, DMV/Court requirement = 0 points taken off). Plus it will look good on your behalf when you go to court. As long as you don't have any recent tickets they'll probably waive the reckless part and just charge you for speeding.

 

Isn't that only like a $86 ticket? $50+ for court fees and $5 for every mile over the speed limit. Talk about a waste of taxpayers money. It probably cost hundreds of dollar to process the ticket and pay the cop to pull you over.

 

Kinda of puts a cloud over your day...

Do what I do when cops flash their lights, if there are 2 of you, one of you runs and pulls off at the nearest crowded parking lot and HIDE! It's BS to pull 2 people over, one of you can still make it out alive.

 

i had my radar detector on when juan and dave got pulled over but unfortunatly i had gotten stuck behind another car while dave and juan got around it. no cell signal and juan (being the ricer he is) managed to throw his 2way out of his window around a corner but i was picking up a full band just before they got pulled.

 

Whoa! So Chris AND Amber both got wreckless!? Damn, that sucks, me and Dave race on 211 on the way back multiple 130mph runs and you get caught!

 

yea state troopers showed up at the back of the pack shortly after you guys had done like 4-5 runs, but by then you guys were long gone.. after that the cops just "cruised" with us for a while.. luckily no one did anything stupid

So your saying I should take the class before the court date. Alright then. How did you find out about this driver improvement class? I already took one for an accident I was in a couple of years back but I got a list of names from the Prince William District court. Is this place legit and will Rappahannock county accept this you think?

 

Yep, before the court date and it's definitely legit. I found out because I took one myself to erase a 75/55 ticket.

So you took one a couple years back because you were "required" to by DMV or Court? Or did you volunteer?

Reason I'm asking is you can only take a "volunteer" (5 points off) driver improvement class once every two years. But if you were "required" to take it, then that doesn't count as volunteering. I'm guessing you were required to take it. Which means you should be in the clear to get 5 points taken off.

 

this might be popular, but i'm new here and was that an awd 350z? thats a sick mod. i was thinking about that and i didnt know anyone actually did that. thats crazy
