Default Where to modify the Z

Hi, my wife just bought a 2007 350z Manual, enthusiast. And I was wondering where is a good an reliable place to modify this car.

I had crappy works done in the past, and Im tired of them...

Looking for a nice and clean bodykit that doesn't lower the car (I wont be able to enter the parking) with a carbon fiber hood and a rear spoiler that is silimar to nismo's.

Thanks!
Kat.

Dont worry, we are all victims of crappy work here on the boards. Most of us now go to Dave at FunctionTUNED, more info at www.functiontuned.com

He's asking about bodykits, hoods, wings and rims and you send him to FT? How about a good body shop and website to order parts from instead?

OP-for body parts www.intensepower.com

For performance enhancements, FT is where its at...

For custom body work go see Car Toys 2 in Rockville.

For performance go see Function:Tuned in Dulles/Sterling

For stereo or other misc electronics and tint visit Fresh Designs in College Park. If you want CRAZY custom stereo work go back to Car Toys 2.

Yea but Dave can probably get you the body kits just as cheap, if not cheaper than most places.

Who is Dave? O.o

Thanks for the help. I will check those sites/places.

BTW: Any modification to improve mpg? LOL

No, really, the only thing that I would change about the car is the clutch... is the first one that does not allow me to change fast between gears.... (probably because it is the first expensive one that I have used...)

Body SHop you say? D&V in Chantilly for all your hood, lip, sideskirt, grill, vent, mirror, hatch, defuser needs

Just order what you want, then they can prime, paint, install it all -- just remember that cheaper stuff is gonnna not fit as well and less likely to get paint to adhear to it well.

SpoilerDepo.com for the nismo wing, just sold one they painted in Daytona blue and it looked fantastic.

Some people told me that it is not difficult to install. Could somebody with a little knowledge in lego's be able to install it?

And what do you do with your old body kit, hood and rims? Can you trade them for a better price? LOL

KAT_Ayanami - Personally I think a real ridiculous set of wheels should be everyones first mod. Then a pop charger for some sound and a little performance.

Kitted out cars on stock wheels just don't look right to me, but again its your Z, well your wife's anyways

If you do end up getting a kit and cf hood right away, I would keep your stock parts so you can return the car to stock if you have to or want to sell it.

Check out the for classified secton and see if you can find a deal or two. What color did your wife get?

Any ideas on styles?

Maybe you should let her pick them out. If you're in Silver Spring take a trip down to College Park and talk to Rob at Auto Effects. They specialize in aftermarket and custom wheels and have a full showroom and catalogs catalogs with tons of pics to give you an idea. There is also the Wheel picture thread here that should help as well.

why? It definitely shouldn't be a high priority unless you are just going for the bling thing. It's personal preference but I would suggest making your car a little faster before making it look faster.

definitely check the venders for great prices and
intensepower.com
mynismo.com ,etc.

Most of these sites can be found through a google search for the parts you want.

A set of nice wheels definetly sets off the 350/G35... its worth the money, and if speed isnt a priority ( not like you pick up much with bolt ons anyway).. then I would definetly look into a set of rims as one off my first mods
