So, I'm leaving my chiropractors office this morning to go to work... i'm sitting at the light waiting for green... i get green.. and i take off.. not doing anything reckless just normal driving because its by Fairfax County Government Center...

as soon as i start to turn the steering wheel, the rear of the car swings out and i try to correct it and next thing i know it swings out on the opposite side of where i'm correcting it and i end up doing a 360 and jump the curb and hit a light post.

::damage to the car::
~ looks like the whole suspension needs to be fixed...
~ rear drivers side axel needs to be replaced
~ hopefully a new drivers side door
~ new hood
~ new front panel...

sighs... so much for washing my car.. enjoying the weather and going to the Nissan meet this weekend... argh?!?!

i remember back when i had my miata one night i was driving on some twisties, got really ambitious, and next thing i knew the car was swerving all over the place. went sideways and spun out into a ditch. was so bad there was grass and dirt actually stuck between the wheels and the tires. flat spotted all four tires.

just do like Mike D. and replace everything with CF and you're good to go!

How did your car swing out? Did you hit something like a oil slick... dirt patch or something? I just don't get how normal driving can cause you to lose control like that... something doesn't add up.

 

there was something super super slick on the road.. and i couldn't tell what it was.. it was tar looking and some of it was clear and glossy! argh?!?! sooo mad!!

yeah.. cars don't just swing out.. i hit a slick spot.. it was oil or something.. that was something really slick on the road.. it was like *black ice*..

and i never said i wasn't taking responsibility for my actions... but i was not driving recklessly... there was a witness and she said everything was normal until i was turning the corner and my car lost control suddenly...

sux.. i got a ticket for failure to maintain control... oh well.. gonna probably pre-pay it though..
