Default Mid-A Convertible 350's Check in.

Okay so with my car nearing completion and show season right around the corner I am looking to get a daily driver. My current 350z is undergoing a major face lift at Car Toyz 2 in Rockville so I am looking for a new ride to puchase this year as a DD.

The short of the story is after searching I keep coming right back to a 350 but I am thinking of a convertible . So any help from the Mid-A guys/girls with one would be great. Pros and Cons your car verses another convertible or 350 coupe.

Thanks in advance!

So you want to have a show 350z couple and a daily drive 350z convertible? Very interesting!

I know it's kinda redundant to have 2 350's but it makes sense. I need a new/used car, would like it to be a convertible and I like my car.. A LOT so why not a another 350? Other options are a Z4, MR2 spyder (needs some body mods before I would drive it), SLK320, newer Eclipse convert or S2k.

Go S2K

It's good to have two different cars, you can mix it up a little bit. You can wake up and say "hmm what will I drive today?"

Well out of those choices you listed, S2K for sure. It's not that I don't love the thought of having 2 Z's, but its really, pointless. Yeah its an awesome car, but again, pointless lol.

How much are you looking to spend if you don't mind me asking?

I was surfing e-bay and carmax and looks like I can pick up a 2004/5 350 for high teens or low 20's. I was also thinking the Sky.... but its a Saturn. Eh, Jazz made the Soltice cool. LOL Autobots, Roll Out!

They are fun as hell, I remember you, and you're not a big guy Ken, so you'll be fine. Do it, you can get a good deal on a brand new one! Get black, and put some bling bling wheels on it

Black is the color I was thinking for the next car. Not sure I want to buy another new car although I could get better financing. I wonder what the Sky goes for at a actual dealership. Anyone know of people that have one and there feedback? Only concern its a GM.

I am still toying with the 500 idea. Gotta get him to let it go cheap though!

I havent been too impressed with GM quality except for their trucks and caddy line. Do you know if the engine and trans is GM or outsourced?
