Question Car Club??

Would anybody be interested in starting a real G35/G37/350Z car club here in Hampton Roads??? Ever since I moved up here from Florida, I miss doing the car club thing. I miss going out to SONICS meets on Saturday night.

Recruitment rules and regulations would be following:

I know what you mean, I have a wife and 2 kids myself, therefore I know most people will not be able to commit to anything. Also I'm not looking to start anything major (No t-shirts, no website, no modifications requirements, etc.) just a group of enthusiast. I'm just trying to start something that makes Hampton Roads come together more often, instead of every 4-5 months. I agree with you that place is dead from time to time, and I personnel can't stand it, so I'm trying to being some life back to this area.

Very well put, hopefully there are people like that here in Hampton Roads to make this happen.

The problem with "car clubs" is that every one is on board at first. The times pass by and some of us have deployments, some sudden commitments, or just get tire of doing the car thing. So it eventually will start to fall apart. The other thing is that cops will target this type of groups and label them as street racers. The they watch you like a hawk (at least from pass experience). I rather have some randoms meetings with some of them at some ones house for a BBQ or car work GTG which I'm open to both.

Hey, I totally agree with you.... City & I and like two other members already hung out before on the Hampton side, but that is probably what its gonna be like... Maybe 5 or 6, but no more than 10 on a regular basis... Once a blue moon, we would probably be able to get 30 or 40 cars together...for the most part it'll probably be like 6 or 7....

I can't wait for the summer to get here. I live right in front of the beach and I would like to have a BBQ here with a few of us Z/G fellas.

BTW City, you ever got those snails installed?

This is the kind of "club" I want to start, I don't care for stuff like having a club President, Treasurer, decals, etc. I was also thinking have a meet that riding down to the go-kart track down on Gen. Booth Blvd. (Motor World)

OK,OK before the Hype dies down, lets do a meet on Monday at Military Circle Mall (mostly likely the movie theater parking lot) around 12PM to 3PM (<<---You decide). I pick the this mall because it should take no more than 30 mins max to get there from Newport News or VB. Most People should be off from work, that day anyway. The forecast is Mostly Cloudy a high of 63°, which is the highest for the week and a 20% chance of rain.
