if you run faster then a 13.0 you do

 

You will actually need one if your faster than 14.0

 

I'm bringing a helmet and I may not be running, or if I do, I'm not running that much. People are welcome to borrow it if they the track is cutting down on the helmet rules. If you're running a high 13, sometimes they'll let you slide.

 

Hmm i dont kno where i placed my helmet. I think my friend borrowed it. Guess ill have to go buy another one for next week

 

I hope the weather changes... Looking like rain for next friday... If i have to i can reschedule for the 18th.

This morning, they were saying it was going to be 60 at 10 a.m., then about 25 minutes later, they were saying 48.

very true. ( I almost got beat by a C5 vette with my weaksauce launches) If it gets rescheduled to the 18th, I'll get some spare axles from Gooey, bring up some slicks (and tools to change out axles once they break) and see what times I can put down. (having to shift to 5th gear is going to suck though)

 

If we had lined up the next run where I ran the 12.8 I think I would have beaten you

I am def interested to see what you run when you really launch the car( with slicks and the whole deal).. although I will probably have no chance of beating you at that point

 

really they never made me wear one till i broke the 13 flat

 

yeh some tracks and track employees are more lenient than others. I ran a few 13.5s at mason dixon before they finally decided to make me wear a helmet and raced @ capital many times without a helmet but at Cecil I ran a 13.89 and the ticket booth person said I had to throw on my helmet from now on. So it really depends on where u go and who's there but to be sure u don't get hassled the rule is faster than 14.0 u need 1. People are more than welcome to borrow mine while I'm not racing, but be warned I have a big head. lol
