I am sure Dave will have another BBQ in a couple of months to Get everyone together. He has to let Mike and Corey save some money so they can get some more stock tires..

It was good to meet you and put a face to the screename. :-)

I thought the same thing when I met Brent, especially since he spends alot of time in asia.

(Brent: so, what are you selling your engine for? )

I’m Chinese at Heart I guess... I have always liked Asian culture. I learned to use chopsticks when I was like 7, and after my first visit to Taiwan I was hooked.
I lived in Taipei and then traveled around Asia for a few years. I later moved to Beijing for (unfortunately) only a few years. I then moved to KL, where I could still get my fix of Chinese culture (and more importantly food). Unfortunately I had to return to the US a few years back to find more consistent work.

Been trying to get back there to live for years now.. So I content myself with frequent trips as often as I can, usually every 4 - 6 months. :-D

As for the parting out.. I am looking as possibilities.. I am in the position of being out of work again, and the market looks bleak.... So one must start considering all possibilities. I might have to fall back on my Diving as my main source of income and go back to Asia as an Instructor again.

No decisions have been made, so please do not start the circling the shop just yet. As for the engine, I could not in good conscious discuss selling as I have a few things that need to be worked out before I would even think about transferring it to someone else’s hands.

I am always up for someone to hang with while in Asia.. I have been inviting people for years, but no one has ever taken me up on the invite. Never been to Nanjing though.. I bet it would be a cool place to visit with someone that knows there way around. This last trip around Chongqing and Chendu was pretty cool. Still looking to do some exploring in the Xian area also. We might not have the Z's but I have seen a lot of S4 and A6's around. Should be easy to hire a driver with one of those to take you around.

I have always found the best way to get to know a city is have someone show you around the first time or two.. After that you should be able to explore on your own, or at least get around with minimal problems.
I know my way around Beijing, HK, Singapore, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Cebu and a few other smaller cities around Asia.. still looking to get to Vietnam, Cambodia and Indonesia one of these days.
