Huh??? It this going to be your first oil change?? What Year is your Z?? 6MT or 5AT??

Anyway I recommend the use of synthetic engine oil. There are many brands people use, so here are the top few most commonly used on Z & G.

-Mobil 1 I wouldn't use if FI

-Castrol Syntec (I used to use) I wouldn't use if FI

-Royal Purple (I used to use) If FI I would use as last resort.

-Amsoil (What I use now) IMO the next best thing for FI.

-Motul The Best for FI

EDIT:

I almost forgot, STAY AWAY FROM FRAM oil filters, even OEM Nissan filters for that matter.
Go with K&N, Mobil 1, Wix or Amsoil.

Wow.... Tailsnismo, I feel like its something new every week with you and that car.

If you have an oil light pop up on your dash - ie indicating low oil - SHUT THE CAR OFF AND PULL OVER, DO NOT DRIVE THE CAR WITH NO OIL. Top the car off and go from there. Hopefully you didn't buy your self a "VQ Go & Blow" special with oil consumption issues.

If you are just looking for a good over the counter oil for a turbo application I would recommend M1 0w-40. A 30 weight oil is too thin for an application such as yours. One of our memebers named Resolute has spearheaded a oil analysis program of sorts and there is a 20 some odd page sticky somwhere. Lots of different oils are discused and tested, the results might be surprizing, some of the "boutique" oils aren't all they're advertised to be. Its an interesting read, check it out.

And as far as oil filters go, our cars take a M108 (I think thats right), but you can also use a M110, which is a little longer and has more filter media. Fram sucks, M1 FTW.

I recommend the Motul for the FI applications. You need to get some in there ASAP. I would NOT go driving around. Call Function:Tuned, Dave just got some fresh cases of Motul for your set-up.

Oh... I forget that you were TT, I would go with Motul oil, than Amsoil.
Someone in MD please teach/show tailnismo the basic about being FI, I don't want to see a blown motor thread.

The big problem here is he has a turboed z and has no idea as to what should be done on regular maitenance. It sounds like you bought your z allready fied and have no idea what you should do to it.
1.If your oil light comes on you are low on oil...........period.........or worse.
2.Do you have any idea how to check your oil level.
3.I feel bad for you with the problems you seem to have had lately but it seems to me that you have no idea what it a FI car needs. And untill you understand the problems that can occur with FI cars maybe you need to do a lot of research.

I am not trying to sound mean or nasty but you need a lot of research before you should even drive your car.

OP - What ever happened to you getting your car over to see Dave and get a retune???? You might want to really seek out his advice to keeping your car running right, maybe even get a basic maintence schedule worked out with him, even keeping an eye on your fluids for you.

I think you'll be fine, my 3 rules to Boosted Success...
1) Take it to function:tuned when you need something fixed or looked at
2) Listen to my350z if you have a question
3) When it comes time to drive it, you can do that!

That is what I was getting at, I'm no expert on FI car, but if I lived close by to tailsnismo, I would personally get started on the rigth track.
