Default First time to the drag strip tonight

I met a few guys from here, I'm so bad with names though

My best was a 13.8 @ 103 with a 2.1 60ft

I was happy with my launch. I was comparing slips with some other Z's running a bit faster and we are pretty even through the 1/8th. I can't imagine we are shifting differently so my guess is that the NISMO aero package is producing enough downforce to significantly slow me down as the speed increased. Also, I figure my wider wheels are heavier, though I'm sure they help on the launch.

I'm just happy to be in the 13's. Faster than most non slicked cars out there.

I'm defiantly interested in going back and practicing some more. I was really nervous the times I lined up. It was a blast.

Not quite as awesome as autocross, but fun in a different way

And all the Z/G guys there were super nice. Hate I suck with names so bad.

The guy in the white Z(again, sorry..so bad with names) is a sick drag racer. Hes cut 13.15 then backed it up with a 13.2 near 107. Best MPH to date was a 107.9

He can drive. I was super impressed. Helped me out a lot figuring out how to launch it.

Nice to meet all you guys.

I think I met Chefrey and the other guy I'm sucking at remembering. He said he doesn't come to the Mid A forum much. He lives up near Lancaster I believe.

Super nice guy, I'm sure I will run into him again.

Also met a few other guys up there that had G's there weren't on this forum, one of them even trained BJJ! w00t, that was nice to get to talk about too.

Not being in my hotel room at night FTW.

It was fun.

Honestly I would rather autocross, but you can go do this several times a week instead of waiting for an autocross event to come around.

I have to get in with the SCCA chapter up here. I forgot how much I missed having a sports car...I NEEEEED to autoX soon.

high 5

Looking forward to it. Its a blast. I did it for 3 years when I lived in MS. Got to where I would travel so I could hit 2 a month. Trashes your tires but its SOOOO much fun.

The main thing I noticed about drag racing was "tech" was a joke.

With autoX its a 20 min situation getting your car checked out. At the strip they just waved you through. I saw people with loose ojects floating around their car. Some crap cars that I personally wouldn't take over 100mph where being allowed to run. I guess its just the volume they get that they have to deal with, but still, it weirded me out.

What kind of stuff isn't allowed for AutoX? I have two amps and a capacitor right behind my head, mounted on an amp rack. If they're secured (which they are) I should be good correct?

Yea, just has to be imobile. If they wanted to get hardcore they would want to know the length of the screws you used, but I've never seen anyone actually do that(though I do believe it is mandated somewhere).

Battery has to be tied down(stock is fine), tired in good condition, no leaks, no CEL, nothing around the cabin. No body cracks around mounting points, etc...

They go over it pretty good. But its not impossible to pass, as long as you have a newer car. I had to get a battery tie down for my eclipse. Didn't' have one when I got it used.

Hell, even the N/A guys with test pipes haha. I get it about once a month, my luck it would be right during that inspection.

Once they get to know you that back off that one some

My CEL was always on in my eclipse. Once at autoX after a hard run it went off and I thought I broke something

Just convince them its a bad O2 sensor.

There were 4 or 5, and some G's too.

I know I didn't go to the track to race other cars, but I kept getting lined up beside 10 second drag cars
