Does this actually happen or is my friend just misinformed, possibly just hearing rumor? Thanks.

Unless you are in the Air Force (and that might be a stretch), you will never have adequate working resources.

Meh, adequate for me was a belt fed weapon, fresh socks, and the occasional shower.

That is no adequate

I guess my Navy life style of getting a hot shower, 3 hot meals, a bed, a phone and a computer with internet and e-mails capability for daily use when deployed is considered being spoiled.

Meals Ready to Eat. It's packaged meals used by the military. High calorie meals. You use a heater that you add water to to warm up the food and prepare your lil feast lol. They have improved over the years and now some of them are actually not bad.

LOL when we were in Kenya we would toss the ham slice to the kids and watch the adults beat up the kids over it. Then we would try and toss em deodorant and they would try and eat it, and spit it out, then throw it back.

They were what you would call a "hurtin" country.

Spoiled wouldn't even describe it.

Come talk to me when you get one hot *** bottle of water and MAYBE one winter MRE a day for 2 months straight. And WTF is a hot shower? I've had to bath with the water I can fit in a canteen cup.

OP, PM me any questions you have regarding the MI field.

Tony (9 year enlisted 96B/35F)

Like our resident recruiter said, we Army enlisted get to chose what MOS we want depending on specific requirements such as ASVAB scores. For instance, I had the choice of any entry level MOS in the Army when I enlisted since I got a high enough ASVAB score and met all requirements for entry into the Armed Forces.

Officers on the other hand chose (I believe) their top three prefered branches and that is taken into consideration when they're placed into a branch.

Jumpin pretty much nailed it on the head (I would hope so, anyways... he's a HIGHLY MOTIVATED recruiter).

Dude, the mall has an ice scating rink in it and you can buy a pre modded game console downtown. No one has any sympathy for you.

In Bagram Afghanistan a guy from Ranger Bat through a MRE package to a child on the other side of the base fence. The kid went running to get it and hit a landmine and lost his leg, but he got the Chicken w/ noodles. After that no more feeding the locals through the fence.

That's where we sent some people for R & R from Iraq. It's super dangerous there, I know because I saw Transformers.

Tim (wishes he were in Qatar instead of recruiting)
