I think it's one thing if you get a built motor and it runs fine with zero issues then blows up, but if you have them build a motor and from day one it burns oil to the count of 12 quarts of oil every 3K miles, clearly the motor was built out of spec. with out a doubt AAM should fix that and it sounds like they did the right thing.
