This might be a strange post, but..

I have a few buddies coming to visit in a week, and we wanted to book a last minute guided fishing trip next thursday.

Ive looked at a couple charters based out of virginia beach, but none of them can get to anything other than blue fish and spanish mackerel on a half day trip.

Are there any other mid-a places that have alot of saltwater guides? And may be closer to big fish?

 

Go out of NJ, that's where I go. 50-100 miles out.

The largest offshore fishing tourney in the world is happening this week in OC. The White Marlin Open. My buddy is fishing in it and is a past winner, his charter boat is "Last Call" out of Ocean City Maryland. Google the boat name and you will find his website. Fishing around here is really good now, just heard from some captians on a local radio show talking about how good the shark fishing has been on there half day trips. It appears as though the big Tunas have moved on now the sharks and marlins are whats happening. Unfortunately gas prices are hurting the charter boats and people who want to go on the trips.

 

If you can come here, I can rent a boat for the weekend (17 ft center console) for $140 from Friday to Monday AM and do some fishing in the Chesapeake Bay or pretty much anywhere.
