You gotta do what you gotta do. We made sure all limbs were out from under the vehicle. Just a quick brake job.

Hey Robbie, I noticed the Dr. Gonzo name above the driver's door. You a fan of HST? Sounds like a blast of a time. Any "Fear and Lothing in Las Vegas" at the end of the trip? We'll see if anyone on this forum gets that reference. Great pics you and Mike.

Yea.. I was watching the whole debacle... the other guys got the car jacked up, and started the brake job, but could not figure out how to get the rear done. In comes the mechanical Hero of the day/rally Chris to take a look. We tried to jack the NSX up high enough to get the stand under.. but the car started to teeter... so we slid another jack under (not seen), lowered the car to where it was stable again, and prayed that Chris would complete the task without injury.

How is the jack being misused in the pic?

The jackstand would not fit under the car. If we went higher it became unstable so it stayed there for the 5 mins it took to swap the pads.

We understand it wasn't the safest circumstance. But we're a family on the rally and we do what needs to be done to get the cars to the end the safest way possible.

Believe it or not the next day the turbo went on that car (in Columbus) We spent hours gutting everything out so the guy from Lovefab could reinstall and retune before the drivers meeting the next morning. He drove down from Michigan and arrived at 3:30am. The car made it to the drivers meeting and departure at 9:00am and didnt have any more issues the entire trip.

When doing the Turbo swap MUCH more caution was used and supplies were purchased to ensure everyones safety since it was necessary to be under the car to do the work.

Hahaha. You know how the saying goes...."What happens in Vegas Stays in Vegas". Most don't get the reference but we thought it was appropriate for our trip. The passenger door says "Raul Duke"

jacks are used for lifting, not supporting. Glad to see it at least wasnt the stock jack, but that jack doesnt look like the beefiest. Itd appear that the jack selection is what is causing the issue. Looks like it has a very small lift pad (teeter) and low lift height ( no clearance for the jack stand).

I know it can be tough to get a jack stand under the car.........i spend upwards 20-30 min just putting my z in the air.

At least put the wheel under the car.

Ah well, ill stop being a safety ****.

He rode with the tassles for the next few days. The basket had to come off b/c it could have come off and caused some not so good events. The pic of it in the lobby of the hotel was priceless. But damn it was a long way through the parking lot.
