I live in Falls Church, VA and am looking for a solid tint shop in the area... Anyone have any recommendations for me? I'd also like them to use a decent/nice quality tint... not one of the ones that fades to purple over time, lol
I'm planning on getting a 35% tint, has anyone had any trouble with cops in the area with this level tint?

I have 35% all around and haven't been pulled over for it for the past 7 years living in this area. Check out Driven Dynamics, they're located in Rockville and theyre also on the boards.

i had two cars done at driven dynamics (a g35 and a mercedes cl) and honestly i was a bit disappointed. both side windows on both cars started to bubble. they do have a warranty but its a bit of an inconvenience if u live in northern va.

How long ago were the two cars done? Where exactly are the bubbles? Did you allow ample time for the cars to dry?
You are more than welcome to bring the cars back in and have them looked at.

. I'm debating if tints are a risk I want to take, I feel like tints + other "noticeable" mods = bad idea. I drive by about 5 cops a day on Rt. 66, I can't be safe forever
But yeah, good stuff, nice to hear you back your work!

i'm at 0 mods (just bought car), but still considering all sorts of stuff- i would imagine that a dropped car with a front lip/header/exhaust would draw more attention then the usual car with 35%...
I got 20(i think 18 percent actually) and bever had an issue with the cops. honestly the best place and cheapist is hottints. they do an amazing job and are extremly cheap. $99 for 35 all around on a 2 door. they got high quality tints and are machine cut. no bubbling or anything and they got a warrenty to if you opt for it. HOWEVER, take your registration and any other papers with your address on it, and give a fake address. they do custom stereo work and people have speculated that after work was done their stereos were jacked. but the quality of work was 10x better than winners tints. 301-HOT-TINT

I'm going with 35% on my Z. 20% is a little scary at night!
