Ahh that happened to me twice once by speed camera the other by red light camera no front plate and clear coating the rear license plate has worked like a charm Still no tickets, the red light camera was over a year ago.

 

what happens when you clear coat it? emits glare?

 

Does that clear coating stuff work? I always thought it was a scam. And id take my front plate off but they wont let me onto the army base at work at without one.

Oh well. Guess I will just have to obey all posted traffic signage. BASTARDS!!!!

Yeah it creates a really shiny glare, but once I got pulled over a night and the cop(missouri state trooper when I first got my car) noticed it and was telling me that I could get in trouble for that, I was like "I have no idea officer thank you so much for protecting and serving me"
Moral of the story is Go in to pep boys with 10 bucks and get some clear coat, it last 2 years before they recommend re-applying it and it saves you $50 as you could see here.

LOL the second link reminds me of The Transporter, but the clear coat doesn't do anything in natural sunlight it will still be visible its only when articficial light is emitted will it reflect back at night time and what not.

Thats what killed me. It wasnt an intersection. It was in the middle of the block. 5400 block of 16th st NW is what the ticket says. I was coming from Bmore into the city. I think 29 turns into 16th street after silver spring... I could be wrong im horrible with directions. It was a ways down after SS. I wasnt even thinking they had speed cameras. I was late for a date.... I should make her pay half.

They are crazy in DC when it comes to licence plate covers. I had one on my old beater and they pulled me over for something else and said I need to take it off or it is a $500 dollar fine. I ripped it off in front of them then they went tearing across this baseball field (not kidding, both cops drove off the road and through this park pretty fast).

 

I was on the other side doing donuts with my azz hanging out the window!
