^which guy/car were you Ronin?

Lv2DC Z - what other car do you have? The Z's actually perform better on that road than Subarus. AWD absolutely sucks on those turns. I would pick a RWD over AWD on that road any day.

It would be my tiburon but I need new brakepads and tires first. It handkes the road better than the z with the suspension upgrade but it does lack in power compaired to the z. that's why the subaru will be better for me to take on. I used to do a lot of touge in vegas on the way to lakemead or in the mountains there with my crew. And all in the tib. I know the z will be a beast if I upgrade the suspesnion

 

I stepped out at the bottom of the hill on 211. Wish I would have had more time on my hands as that was a fun road.

Lookin forward to another run up the hill, hopefully next time with better weather.

Definitely the highlight of an otherwise boring weekend [and to think I almost stayed home for some Coronas and TV]. Good meeting you all and it was a blast trying to keep up and not crash during the 211 runs.

Maybe one day I'll be as good as a Subaru driver....

he floors it through the wet roads and I'm idiotically following @ the same speed, I catch a glimpse of a pair of headlights behind me - it's Kat_Ayanami in his black WRX. AWD is really starting to shine right about now.

I felt sorry for the ones who had convertibles, the unexpected downpour probably was quite a surprise for you folks!

Horsepower on these roads absolutely had no advantage today as the roads were never straight to utilize the power. The Subaru drivers actually had quite a disadvantage (except when it rained) weight transfer in that car sucks since the front wheels pull and the rear wheels push at the same time... whereas in the RWD, you only have the push factor which throws the majority of the weight to the rear providing more rear-wheel grip for those 60mph corners (which were 99% of all the corners on 211 and Skyline drive.) I only felt the advantage of AWD @ 90 degree hairpin curves where flooring it through the turn actually pulls you all the way through instead of spinning you out like in a RWD setup. I'm definitely bringing the Z next round.
